Buick LeSabre? Not my brand! But they all have too much plastic in them to be worth what they cost.
What? Not your brand? It's the choice of circuit overseers everywhere!

there have been many postings regarding the possible war with iraq.
there are many strong apposing views, as to be expected.. i personally am going to thank all those who are in the military; my hat is off to you, and i respect what you do, and i am very thankful.
you are the ones that must go out there and defend our freedoms.. i don't think most people desire war, but sometimes there seems to be little choice.

Well, "Lefty" has at least made his political affiliation clear. Let me clarify what Dakota said even further by saying; screw you and the Buick LeSabre you rode in on.

if i seem out of it, for the next few days, it's because i fell down a flight of stairs, slipped on the carpeted stairs in my bare feet, and broke my tail bone, and split a toe open, and had to have stitches.
so i'm on heavey narcotics, and if you need to get ahold of me in any amount of time, then a phone call is the best bet.
ciao for now.
Sorry Charlie, people don't want tuna with good taste, they want tuna that tastes good. Ah, I meant to say, get well soon!

my dad passed away at the hospital today after a lengthy illness.
he was 84 years old.
some of the folks here have known for awhile that he had been ill, and they have been very supportive.
Jack,
I'm gad you have such a fondness for your dad. He sounds like a good guy. Sorry for your loss.

Dickweed said,
You and TR both exihibit the same spirit as those who persecuted the JWs in Malawi for their refusal to bow down to President Banda's silly requirement. I don't doubt for a second that the two of you are just as capable of brutally mistreating other humans.
What a lame excuse for a reply.
We are willing to stand up against the brutal people that would brutalize you...as an American. Are you willing to do the same? What an ingrate you are. Now go play with your RC cars, and be glad that patriotic Americans made it possible.

Gee, I didn't realize that those like Yeru and DakotaRed risked their lives so that I could play with little electronic gagets.
That's right, dickweed.
You also frothed,
You're right, TR, I owe my very existence to the world's military might.
Glad you have it straight.

Yadirf,
Thanks to the U.S. military, you are able to play with your radio controlled cars. You are able to be a 'hovah and at the same time say 'bite me' to the WTS.
Without our military and the patriotism of most Americans, pascifists like 'hovahs and Yadirf would either be dead or in prison.

we all know the witness position of this subject.
i think they simply do not understand human nature.
they say that birthdays make a person self centered and egotistical.
I agree, larc.
It's nice to look forward to special occasions. It's part of our culture, and part of life. A good life, I might add.
And what do 'hovahs look forward to? Circuit assemblies? District assemblies? Special assemblies? Quick builds? Meetings? Field service? Memorial? Can any 'hovah honestly say they looked forward to any of the above, especially the assemblies? I doubt it.

if you could change something about yourself by simply waving a magic wand what would be different about you?
I would get schlong reduction surgery.

ok yesterday i was talking to my dad (moe's thread reminded me) he said something about how bad satan was...and said, yeah but "wasn't it eve and adam's fault?
i mean yeah satan laid out the sales pitch but they could have said no.
you know gone home, talked it over with god, it wasn't even that high pressured a sales pitch.
Thus, Ephesians says that our doom or salvation was sealed at the moment of the creation of the world, so evidently nothing we do can prevent us from being saved if we were destined to be saved, and nothing we do can prevent us from burning in the hellfires of eternal damnation if we were predestined to burn.
And this is exactly why I said in the "calvanist" thread that it's a great excuse to be the biggest loser you can be.
