DRUMLINE.....any band geeks here?
by LDH inok, i'll admit it.
i've seen it twice, and i'm going to see it again saturday.. i even take my daughter and her friends as cover (lol).. some of you know my daughter is on the drumline at her school, and next year she'll be stepping up to the big time as she joins a nationally ranked marching band in the area.
she happens to play snare drum, which is the instrument featured in the movie and damn she is good.

My boy Matt and his buddies are THE band geeks of their high school. Matt plays trumpet in Marching, Jazz, pep band as well as for the school plays and. whatever. These kids know how to PLAY! DAMN they are good! They travelled with the basketball team to state championships the last three years in a row. They swept all titles in marching last year in the region when they did the theme from "Gladiator".
It's fun having a band geek for a kid, huh Lisa. Great job at keeping your kid involved!
We'll have to check that flick out. Sounds fun.

by WildHorses ini was just sitting here going over my finances and, if murphy's law doesn't come into play.. when i first started this cleaning service, i thought i would never get it built up, and a few times thought i would end up losing my home.
my mom, has on a few occasions, asked me to move to mn to live with her, because she knew my situation.
however, i was determined that i was going to make it on my own.

Goodbye, Everyone!
by OrbitingTheSun ini have spoken with a number of you already about my journey this winter, but i thought i'd share the story with all of you before i leave this thursday.
this fall i was asked by one of the professors at my school to go with her on a mission to guatemala.
her proposal sounded very interesting, but i didn't think i would be able to go because of my family's financial situation (my widowed mother has been paying my tuition and my brother's tuition while we both attend private institutions).

nobody is going to "reform" the wtbts.. crying out loud, be realistic about this.
we have a group of men who have at least some faith & belief that what they do is "divinely" approved, and they have 6 million suckers who follow.

The WTS only reforms itself over a period of years so the R&F won't notice. They don't come out publically and state that there is a problem. Then, they "tack" back to older views, thus negating any secret "reforms" they tried to do. This is one RETARDED religion. They do NOT want to be seen bending to the whims of their adherents.
There are people who want reform within the WTS. Bill Bowen wants them to come clean and admit to their pedophile shielding policies, and change. Hell, who doesn't, at least for the sake of the kids? IF the WTS does this they will do it secretly and will only do it in their own good time, and never will they admit that there was a problem.
The WTS elite are NOT humble people. They continually try to pass the buck and blame the R&F. I, for one, would not shed a tear if the GB and company were wiped out.

Where is "God" when innocent people suffer such unimaginable cruelties that a normal person cannot even concieve of the brutality of the crimes? Where is "God" when innocent people are starving to death, etc., etc.?

it was them.. 9.30am, their 1st door, the dude and his mrs are strolling up my drive and he yells a gidday as he approaches.

It's amazing that most of the time I'm braindead, but when 'hovahs appear, I suddenly have a photographic memory and am able to completely overwhelm the 'hovahs. The get a look like they're going to soil their shorts.
