  crisis of conscience has just been delivered by mail to my office.

  i wouldn't dare let it be delivered to home in case my wife found out.. i am still "in", so the question is, should i read it?

  and if so, are my days as a jw numbered?.

  Battle of the street corners

  in hanover, pennsylvania, our jw kingdom hall sits idley by itself far from the supermarkets and rush of the town.

  it is very peaceful and sets the mood for the single road it lays on with a large parking lot and field- property of the kingdom hall.

  but now, a church has been put up across the street, directly from the lane of the kh.

  Fun At A Kingdom Hall

  one of my favorite hobbies is geocaching.

  it's a game where you hide a little box of goodies and post coordinates on the internet.

  people go look for the cache and then log their finds.

  well half of you don't know me but all of you helped in one way or another you'll never understand how much.

  i wish i had more time to get on personal levels with you all but that's not going to happen now.

  i didn't tell my family but, i am kind of worried about the war, something tells me it's not going to be another six day war.

  Why So Many Magazines?

  why does the watchtower have to print so many different magazines every two weeks?

  the truth is out since over 2000 years, and the truth didn't change since the time of jesus.

  so why does the watchtower have to give us the latest version of the truth every 2 weeks?

  The Real Reason to Bomb Iraq

  there's a lot of nonsense about the coming iraq war that's floating about.. there's a lot of dumb editorials and knee jerk comments about oil and george bush.. the reality is: they can't publically discuss the real reasons why a war with iraq.

  is desirable.here's the real motivation - they want to create a progressive secular.

  arab regime and fend off muslim fundamentalists.. comments about bush's iq are off the mark and foolish.

  Give disaffected Muslim youth a car, a job, and pop music
  and things might look very different in ten years.

  This is a major problem. When you have nothing, you're uneducated, and are being taught to kill from childhood, what else are you going to do?

  Whether we like it or not, oil IS a major influence in this matter. Personally, I have no qualms about it. The mid east is a major oil supply that keeps the world running at this point. The U.S. and Great Britain were instrumental in developing that oil supply. It is in our best interests at this point to control it.

  Door to door work really being done?

  obviously the witnesses are going door to door, but is it as effective as could be?

  in all my years as an adult, only once has any witness come to the door preaching "the good news.

  " this is once in over 15 years.

  Things MUST be changing as far as the door to door work goes. When I was a hovah, there were hard core hovahs that went out every day, and on weekends it was a big to do. Now, I rarely see hovahs out in service. I drive a lot every day in the 'hoods, and just don't see hovahs out in service. I've had one visit in 1 1/2 years.

  Many times I'll be working on an obviously VACANT house and there will be a hovah tract stuck in the door. In my honest opinion, there is less "zeal" for the work, especially when one sees tracts purposely left at vacant houses.

  I wonder why "God's People"(tm) are slacking off?
