well things were actually pretty boring.

At least I know what to expect when ours is on... Not for a couple of months I think. I find it so odd that not long ago I used to look forward to assemblies and conventions so much, pay close attention, take copious notes, really feel good and refreshed afterwards. Now I find it so hard not to roll my eyes at the meeting. It's like my personality has changed. Talk about mind control ~ and yet some days lately I wish I could go back to that blissful state of ignorance, "how lucky we are to get this wonderful spiritual food.." Ah, GAG!!!

It is good to feel free to analyse everything rationally now though, instead of "the GB says it so I must obey and believe without question"

im on the fast track to athieism!

Hey all, sorry I don't get to comment as much as some, but I appreciate all the welcomes! It's good to have somewhere to go to read comments of others who really understand what I'm going through. I'm going about things quietly, my hubby is very good to talk to, is not "uber dub" like my parents so can have a rational conversation with him.

So tired emotionally right now, sorry if I don't post much, I am so thankful for everyone who post helpful info here. I'll continue to contribute whenever I feel I have something useful to add.

know it ain't the truth, but am married with little kids and closest family and friends all in.

trying the slow fade and hoping my husband will do the same... being very gentle with him... .

i have been "lurking" for about four years now.. it was an incredibly weird experience just to look at a site like jwn or freeminds.

Flipper, hi and thankyou for the insights, yes I find the handling of child abuse matters and paedophilia- to put it very lightly - disgusting. And I agree there is a balance between individuals acting alone, and individuals acting a certain way because of the WTS.
