Are you at the point of your life where you speak out boldly with JWs?
by jam inwhat a wonderful feeling.
they think i am nuts.
lol.

SkyGreen
no, only bold with my husband because he wont dob me in...
i wonder if there will be a new reasoning book soon - would be good if they had updated "secular references" we could actually check - then quote from same references to refute their teachings...
then we could also highlight all the differences in the old and new versions re "new light" (TM)

After A Day In Field Service, Did You Get Euphoric Or A Spiritual High?
by ÁrbolesdeArabia ini know this might sound silly but field service did provide a strange type of good feelings after i was done.
i called this the "halo-effect" because i felt so "righteous, obedient and good" for taking the weirdos or "the friends" in my station wagon.
vans and station wagon owners in the congregations often get used hard, pile up seven whacks and your off!

Yes, because when u believe something is truly RIGHT, and GOOD, you feel good by doing it - when I made the effort to go out, I would feel refreshed afterwards. Now of course I know it's a waste of time, I won't go out ever again. My Saturday mornings now consist of catching up on the news online, and checking out jw net!
Now I find fulfilment in just being the best wife and mother I can be, the best version of myself. And by helping others whenever I am able. I enjoy doing a whole lot of cooking whenever I can and taking it to neighbours or friends who are sick or going through stressful times. When my babies are older I really look forward to getting into more charitable work- actual practical help for people in need. And maybe working part time for a while again to help my husband retire earlier... So many things to look forward to now that "field service" is not my focus/wts guilt trip every co visit, assembly, km part etc.. anymore :o)

Waking up to "the truth about the truth" was like suddenly realising that the grass is blue and the sky is green. Like everything that was so ral to me was suddenly distorted or turned upside down. heart breaking really and it still is

Well, at least they got one thing right
by Word injesus christ sits on his throne in heaven and want's the world to to submit to his rule.
but they got the time for his entronment wrong, it began back in the first century.
they also don't understand the nature of his rule, jesus christ rules the world from within and without, from inside the heart of righteous people and from heaven above.. they also got it right that jesus christ want's to create a new world community.

Not sure if any other wives/women had replied.
im so sorry for what u are going through. Try to remember how u may have reacted if the situation were reversed?
Please give your wife a big hug and tell her how much you love her, that you still love god just as much, u need to just reexamine your faith. And if you are open to it, tell her you would still love to read the bible with her. Also reassure her that you will not oppose her. Be ultra gentle when bringing up points of difference... Let her question things herself, in her own time.
I'm fortunate my hubby is very good about letting me think independently, but I have to still be careful that I don't overwhelm him.
Personally I'm feeling I'm on the track to agnosticism/atheism, but at the moment I'm doing more open minded bible reading than ever before. Ain't critical thinking ability grand?
All the best with your wife, and just one more piece of advice, whenever she says she wants to be alone, go in and give her a cuddle after about 15 mins to let her know you love her and you're there when she needs her. Sometimes even when we want to be alone, we still need a bit of reassurance that our man still cares, thar he hasn't used our alone time as an excuse to forget about us. We are complicated creatures!
(hugs)
