  he is a democrat but he’s also a very reasonable person.

  The Lords prayer ;Our Father prayer...."Let your name be sanctified " from Jesus.

  according to mathew 6:9 jesus instructed his followers in, vs. 9 " you must pray, then this way "our father in the heavens,let your name be sanctified ..... which rank & file jehovah`s witnesses have been led to believe for the past 140 or so years is to make a personal name of god namely jehovah known to all of the world ,because as they have so loudly professed christendom has kept that name away from the general public.. not true ,raymundus martinus a spanish catholic monk of the 13th-14th century first coined that name for god and it has been used in and on churches throughout christendom in the world ever since.. true christendoms emphasis has been on witnessing about jesus christ which is what the new testament is all about,not jehovah god, but jesus christ .

  phillipians 2 :9-11. in the new testament ,( cgs ) jesus christ is never recorded as saying the personal name of god ever.. " " none of the apostles are ever recorded as saying the personal name of god ever.. " " none of his disciples are ever recorded as saying the personal name of god ever.. the new testament ,christian greek scriptures are all about bearing witness about jesus christ and after his time of bringing back people under his kingdom will he turn then it back over to his father, a thousand years when his rule is finished.. that is the message of the"kingdom interlinear of the christian greek scriptures" published by the wtb&ts ,says..

  A little off topic, but I've wondered about this. It's been a long time since I set foot in a kingdom hall, but if I recall correctly a male witness would sometimes be asked to say a prayer. What would happen if the prayer sayer said something like this, "I would like all to join me in saying the Lord's Prayer. Our Father...." Would the audience join in? Would they know the prayer? Would there be confusion? I've attended other church services, mostly funerals, and have heard the Lord's Prayer said several times. Has it ever been used in a kingdom hall? If not, why not?

  I looked it up, Shirley, and you are correct. Sunday July 20, 1969 at 10:56 PM EST, Armstrong stepped on the moon. That may explain why I have no distinct memory of it. I was probably in bed.

  Not at all off topic. I remember watching lunar landing news during school. Everyone assembled in the gym. That can't be an Apollo 11 memory as school was not in session during July.

  Buzz Aldrin and Neal Armstrong landed on the moon and fulfilled JFK's ambitious goal. I've watched some of the programming about the event. I think the best was on PBS's "The American Experience." Parts of it gave me goosebumps.

  I'm not sure if I have any actual memories of the day. I don't know where I was at or if I actually saw it on TV. I was 7 years old so I'd think I would remember something about the day. Does anyone on the board remember the event? What were JW's saying about it? Did they tie it into some whacky end-time prediction?

  What’s The Worst Thing About Jehovah’s Witnesses?

  witnesses brag about their brotherhood and incredible love that exists within the organization.

  they say they are really the only true religion.

  is the jw religion the closest thing to jesus christ himself?.

  The worst thing about Jehovah's Witnesses, as an organization, is that it has resulted in millions of people who have ignored their own God given potential so they could focus on a fairy tale where they end up living forever in Paradise playing with their very own pet lion. It breaks a heart seeing people I've known my entire life reach old age and have to continue working some menial job because they have little or nothing set aside for their inevitable golden years because they failed to acknowledge, much less plan for, that outcome. I'd like to think that every young person starting down the path of JW.org disappointment would look at the elderly generation of the faithful and ask themselves, "Is that really all I want out of life?"

  Is New Zealand right to ban military style guns?

  in response to the recent terrorist attack in new zealand their government is proposing to ban semi automatic and military style weaponry.. do you agree with this idea?.

  would they be  better off allowing more of these weapons instead?.

  would it be better to perhaps allow more of the muslim community for example, to be armed with semi automatic guns to protect themselves at their places of worship?.

  Maybe New Zealand should ban Australians. That may be a bit harsh. New Zealand should ban Australian males aged 18-35.

  Kidding aside, I spent quite a bit of time in New Zealand when I was younger, mostly on the South Island, and had many good times with my Kiwi friends. The news out of Christchurch hit me hard. Christchurch is a wonderful city.

  New Zealand will do what is right for New Zealand.
