  i'm just thinking of examples of jw doublethink.. here's one - jws will tell a bible study or unbaptised publisher that there is no hierarchy within the org.

  they typically remark on christendom's hierarchy but then say 'we are all brothers'.

  but as a person gets further into the cult, jws will constantly stress the need to obey the governing body.. jw hierarchy .

  What makes a religion right is its total adherence to God’s Word. Whether our religion meets this criterion or not can only be determined by open-mindedly comparing it with the Bible.

  Certainly such an important matter as our worship of God should not be determined for us by the coincidence of where we were born. After all, the child born to Catholic parents has had no more control over this fact than the child born to Muslim parents controls that..........Awake 1984 November 22

  It just shows that whatever is applied to those outside is never to be applied to insiders. A very good point to show them how hypocritical they are when they shun family members who decided to leave the religious organization of JWs as they placed it in this article cited..........

  And when the children born by JWs finds out the religion they were born into didn't adhere totally to God's word. They get shunned and as it were become despicable apostates that goes up in smoke according to AM III

  That's correct @ Vanderhoven7. It's a straight announcement. No need of a judicial committee. One or two persons might be sent to meet with the person to guage how strong his determination to disassociate his or possible cause.

  It's also good to use their own very procedure to disassociate and when they come to seek clarification, tell them to their very face that, what is the procedure for if they do not want members to leave the organization

    I would not like my choice of associates to be regulated by law. Is disfellowshipping painful? I see that it is. Do I want to be forced to speak to a disfellowshiped pedophile because a judge says I must? No. Not now. Not ever. One's choice of associates, no matter what drives it, should be beyond a judge's pureview.

  Yes is the answer only that you join a selected group of those "LEADING OTHERS TO SIN" aka DESPICABLE APOSTATES and wait for it (RENOUNCE THEIR CHRISTIAN STANDING) this particular aspect make me laugh whenever I see it. Why?

  1. JWs hardly want to be called CHRISTIANS they rather be called Jehovah's witnesses than Christians.

  2. Rutherford in his bit to SEPARATE those under his whims decided to impose JWs on them and RUTHERFORD look in derision the name CHRISTIAN.

  i am friends with an elderly 'worldly' woman, who was unaware i am an ex-jw.

  she employs a jw husband and wife pioneer couple for odd jobs around her house- mowing, cleaning etc.

  the couple has been working for her and her recently deceased husband for years.. just before the 2019 international convention, despite the fact that the husband was fighting his last battle with illness, the couple kept asking him to attend the convention with them.

  the watchtower teaches that the opportunity to be born again and enjoy complete justification with god ended in 1935, having been limited to only 144k since pentecost.

  so, it is very surprising that the watchtower embraces the death that is described in romans chapter 6, since this is the very death that is required to be born again…… which is denied to watchtower members!

  romans chapter 6, verse 7 is about saying goodbye to the old personality, the “old man” in the king james version.
