  when i was at my sisters for christmas, i notice that she had many of my grandmothers old photos.

  she had one of them reproduced for my sister laurie and myself.

  i used to go through grandmas photos often and was so glad to see them again.

  A very special anniversary.

  it's a bit early but as we are leaving town i had no choice but to do this now.

  sunday is mulan and big red's fortieth wedding anniversary.

  they were kind enough to want to share the celebration with their family so we are going to hawaii with them tomorrow for two weeks!.

  My Dad died Saturday unexpectedly...

  hi friends, my father died saturday morning.

  i want to happily say that i sent my dad a print-out of some of your key material re;org, last week and he read it all...witnesses were 'on his back' lately, and he appreciated it.

  keep up the positive focus..it is so important..i wanted to write more, but i guess i'm in shock 'cause i just can't do it...thanks to all of you for your support and help with all the stuff that i've been on the board about..peace and love to all of you and your families..nk

  some jehovahs witnesses just came to my house--and of course my latest strategy is to hide and let someone else answer the door, or not answer the door at all.

  well, my younger brother is home from his first semester at college and he just happened to be near the door when they came knocking... .

  LOL! JW urban legends are the greatest...

  As if JWs on Christmas Eve arent bothersome enough, they told him to get rid of the barking dog so that they could come in and discuss the literature with him. ( No one tells him what to do with the doggy!) So he picked up one of our candle lighters and lit their magazines on fire. They gave him a look of disbelief, and he used the burning Watchtower and Awake to wave goodbye to them as he shouted "Merry Christmas! Dont come back now, ya hear? "

  No Mouthy, there weren't any children at the door. They were middle aged...but I am sure they will use this experience to scare the youngin's back at the Kingdom Hall...

  Maybe Witnesses will start going door-to-door in fire retardant biohazard suits now!

  I heard them preaching to him, and I knew trouble was on the way...

  He feigned interest, took their magazines, and lit them on fire right in front of them!

  i mentioned this in chat yesterday with jesika, and thought that i should make it public.

  its thanks to jesikas story that i was able to crack through my jw defenses and see the truth about the truth.

  i read about her abuse on the silentlambs website, which then led me to other sites, then eventually here.

  Not at all the foaming-at-the-mouth rabid apostate dribble JWs
  are told to fear when venturing onto other non-official JW sites.

  LOL! I'm guilty of the same fear. The WTBTS made me afraid of everything
  and everyone. Now I see that the only thing to be afraid of is them!
  
  I don't know Jesika personally, but I'd like to say THANKS to her
  as well for sharing her story and inspiring courage in others.
