  tony robbins claims there are three basic ways people 'feel' loved.

  some need to be told.

  for them hearing those words expresses love.

  The third group need to be touched. Kisses, hugs, soft caressing are the way to their loving hearts.

  I am that one. Words are good too, but touch is where the love is...in my opinion.

  i recall that someone said that for lunch they had to go out to the local mini-mart and grab a hot dog that was simmering all day on the grill!

  That is ridiculous...many times over. I just lost respect for Spike Lee. Frivolous lawsuits are bad for everyone.

  Lee told reporters at last week's hearing that he "[didn't] want to be associated with some 'Stripperella' crap."

  Granted, Stripperella is crap...but I didn't associate Spike Lee with The New TNN until I read this. This is overkill.

  is it just me or does anyone else find the terms that the wt society use as strange and unusual?

  i mean where the heck do they come up with these terms???

  example:ministerial "servant"literature "servant"territory "servant"presiding overseer.

  They do use strange terms. When I tell "worldly" people about JWs I have to translate everything into non-cult language. Some of the terms aren't strange, but their meanings within the WTBTS are so different from their meanings in the real world that it is difficult for outsiders to understand.

  Catch the Holy Spirit...

  if you haven't seen it in person, you have probably seen cases on television of people catching the holy spirit.

  some people cry and wave their hands in the air, others bounce in place while mumbling, and some dance, holler, and "speak in tongues.

  " i was just wondering if any of you have witnessed the "holy spirit" in action at your kingdom hall.

  I can't remember what denomination it was...but I once went to a church called The Rock Church and it was just like what you described. There was a point in the meeting when people ran to the front of the auditorium to be "healed" (hit in the head) by the preacher. Everyone fell over after being "healed" and there was a little group of children who put purple blankets over the women who happened to fall over with their legs wide open.
