Having children later in life........my dilemma
by logansrun innow, you might be wondering why a 26 year old guy like me would start a thread about experiencing a dilemma with having children later in life.
sure, i know i'm still relatively young and, for all i know, could have a kid before i'm thirty (i currently have no children.....that i know of anyway want to have children -- for a long time!
just last year i got out of the jws.

I wouldn’t worry too much about when you can have a child. Worry about the woman you will eventually be with and her fertility. You can produce sperm into your senior years, she will be low on eggs by her 30s and nearly out of them in her 40s. Of course, fertility isn’t the only concern but if you have a mental timeline it is something to consider.

Deep Down Inside, Are You Prejudiced???
by minimus inif you can be really honest with yourself, do you think that you exercise prejudice at times?
are you a person that makes disparaging remarks about certain groups because they are different from you?
if you feel that you're not a prejudiced person, do you see yourself stereotyping?

HappyOut, I think stereotyping is a better description of my behavior too. I never thought the word prejudice included the negative idea. I just thought it meant to "pre" (before) "judge." I wonder if that is the definition now because that is how the word has come to be used. By the etymology of the word there is no indication that is was originally meant to describe a harmful thought process.

I have had one great love and, although it is over now, I am happy to have experienced it. It’s even more beautiful now because I have memories of the way we matured together and learned the little idiosyncrasies of our love. I’m not bitter from it. I’m better as a person and hope I am fortunate enough to have another great love someday.

Prejudice is natural. The same mechanism that enables you to see an apple and recognize that it is edible just like every other apple is what causes us to see people and categorize them. It originated as a survival mechanism. What if you couldn’t differentiate between good food and poisonous food? Someone in your tribe and someone in a dangerous tribe? You wouldn’t survive too long.
So, the ability to see something and judge it is not the culprit. It’s the abuse of it. With that said, I am prejudice but I don’t harbor negative judgments of people. My family is not only racial mixed but I also have relatives from all classes. Exposure to such a diverse group of people has enabled me to develop a unique perspective that I am happy with and try to share with others.

Your Ideal Partner...

aparently the man should be 1.09x taller than the woman.
this would give my ideal partner height at 5ft, which more than half of my girlfriends have been!!!.

I'm 5'10" or 70 inches tall. It says my ideal partner should be 76.3 inches which is about 6'4". It's funny because that is how tall my brother is but none of my boyfriends have been that tall.
