I don't want to even think what would happen to that little girl Elizabeth Smart if she had been a JW. I am glad she's at home with her parents and family. She is truly a miracle.

What if Elizabeth Smart were one of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by Big Tex ini read in the paper this morning that the mormon church considers elizabeth smart to be "pure before god.
" i couldn't help but wonder if elizabeth smart were one of jehovah's witnesses, what the elders' reaction would be?
do they take the attitude that she was raped?

Documentation on Russell's Grave
by teenyuck ini know that there were some pics of russels grave posted sometime back.
does anyone know the link or where i can find some info on russell?
i am trying to send this to my mother.

I have shown this grave to many JW's, they can't believe Russell is buried next to a pyramid. I have also been accused of making this entire thing up about him being buried next to a pyramid. So go figure...

I FOUND A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by Jesika inwell, the search is finally over, i found a job.
i am working for a promotional advertising company, and they are hired by other companies like--crayola, harley davidson, bed bath and beyond, disney, etc to promote new products that will be coming out.
so, someone at my level in the company, goes to area businesses and shows them to people and they can buy them at about 80% off what the product will retail for when it hits the stores.

Could you do without a computer at home?
by JH in.
10 years ago, just about no one had a computer at home, but today just about everyone has.
how would it affect you, if your computer broke down, or didn't have any?
-
TresHappy
I definitely could live without a computer at home, I would get more stuff done. But at work, I do most of my work thru a computer, and it's so good, very fast, where mine at home is dial-up.

If They Found Out That You Were On This Board, What Would Happen?
by minimus inif the elders, certain family members or your "friends" knew that you frequented this board, what do you think would happen in your life?......personally, i think a jc would be imminent, and i am not talking about the coming of jesus christ, either.

I certainly don't care if they I know I frequent this board. This is a great board, and I have reconnected with a few old friends, I even had lunch with cruzanheart last week...

What Would A Jehovah's Witness Romance Novel Be Like?
by minimus ini was reading in the religion page of the newspaper today that the mormons are enjoying romance novels in which descriptions of the characters' sex lives are limited to little more the first kiss--- that could happen after they are engaged to be married........any ideas of what a jw romance novel might be like?

No - they don't end up at Bethel. But rest assured Bethel is there. If that's what you want, you will get it. I don't want to mess up your thread (although I was never good at sewing anyway) - lol. I am typing this out at home and I will copy and paste excerpts into the thread...getting inspired sometimes just takes time...

Sure minimus - however not trying to take away from anyone else, I have already gone quite deep into my own story about Hilary and David, which I have already in my head. Hilary and David represent a typical young JW man and woman I saw in the Watchtower. So, guys would it be OK for me to continue Hilary and David saga thru the story in my head....I have got Bethel planned in the storyline. Thank you for saying about this story...It just basically came to me in my brain when I saw the thread about a JW romance novel. Sort of to say I was inspired?

Removable face on Car Stereo
by Elsewhere ineveryone will have to bear with me here... i don't know much about car sound systems...
the factory stereo on my car went out so i went to best buy and had them install a new stereo (sony cdx-mp40).
one of the things that they sales guy was very proud of was the fact that the face plate comes off.
-
TresHappy
My car radio makes a funky noise to remind me that I need to take it off. It's so annoying, I never take off the faceplate. This was a high tech radio my hubby wanted. Me, I'd still be happy with my 8 track.

by DanTheMan inhttp://www.topthrilldragster.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/ttd/specs/index.cfm
this time i think they've gone too far.
i'll usually ride just about any amusement park ride, but i don't know about this one.. anybody want to meet me at cedar point this summer?
-
TresHappy
I worked at Six Flags during my teen years. What fun to ride those rollercoasters. However, due to maturity and a general sense of cowardness, I would refrain.
