Laci was denied the chance of giving birth to Connor and doting and nurturing this child. This is one the saddest stories I have heard in a long time. I feel bad for the Rocha family, the terrible loss of their daughter and their grandson. It makes me weep inside...
i don't understand the logic of boycotting the dixie chicks because of the comments the singer made about being ashamed that bush is from texas.
it doesn't make sense to me.
keep in mind that i'm just a canadian, so maybe i'm just not tuned in to the american way of thinking.
I personally love the Dixie Chicks. But all the radio stations have stopped playing their music. My favorite is Travelin' Soldier...

a recent thread about "bad" music groups reminded me of when i was growing up.
my mom went through my record collection, and literally scratched with a nail all the "bad" songs on the record.
in some cases, i was lucky , fortunate to keep one or two songs on an album.. sure enough, years later, as a fan of music, i kept many old albums, and going through them i saw how many scratches were on the records.

during the last two months i've tried and tried to rationalize the jw view that, since these "pagan holidays are not based upon the scriptures, they must not be practices by christians".
i've spent a lot of time thinking about this, and trying to come up with their motivation for these policies.
they can't think that celebrating will actually hurt, yet they obviously can't honestly think the practice goes against the bible.. i thought it might just be another "control" for them to place on the flock - and a way to differentiate themselves from other faiths.
Most everything has "pagan" origins. Then for us married folks, get rid of our wedding rings since they are pagan.
the horrible murder and mutilation of laci peterson and the death of her baby boy, connor, has been in the news a very long time.
now the bodies have been found and identified--and finally, scott has been arrested and charged.. there is just something very strange about all of this, and i was hoping someone might have some information.
from scott's expressions and behavior, it appears as if he is guilty, but has no remorse.
I think in the end, he wanted his cake and eat it too. He didn't want the responsibility of wife/baby, he was so into the affair and he lied to his girlfriend. I think they argued over it and he killed her, possibly a blow to the head. I think she was killed in her Modesto home. He's a pathetic arrogant sick creature. He deserves whatever California law can do to him.

A highly confused man who wouldn't recognize the Watchtower Society today. I am going to finally see his grave this October in Pittsburgh. Looking forward to finally meeting him - lol.
you know, there is nothing like the pleasure of looking on your bookshelf and seeing all those dub books in their hard bound covers and their pretty colours.
you can arrange them all kinds of ways, putting all the yellow ones together and the blue ones together .then you can put the green graded ones in the middle creating a flowing rainbow effect.

I used to stack mine in the bookshelf according to size then color. Talk about being too organized. Then all those pretty colors went into a box and donated to a counter cult ministry...
