I have a really good job. I am lucky to have a job. This is a state job, with retirement benefits and insurance. What do I hate about it? Only the administrators, because they are forever trying to reinvent the wheel.

My coworker told me today that she is no longer going to try to contact this stamp guy. She told me that he figured out that she was contacting him under that other screen name. He then called her up here at work and said that if she contacted him again, he would tell her husband! She said she is planning to separate from her husband anyway, but she doesn't want any further conflict from this stamp guy. I asked her how she was going to deal with it, and she said she is getting rid of her home computer for the time being because she finds herself on the Internet for 2 hours a night. I am glad she got her act together, but it took the threat from jerky stamp guy to get her into reality.

I grew up in the Fort Worth area and have worked in FW for the past 8 years. Many things for kids to do here. The big attraction are the water parks like Hurricane Harbor in Arlington and NRH20 in nearby North Richland Hills. Also going to Six Flags in Arlington is always fun for kids (be sure to get discounts though, they are charging $40.00 for a regular ticket.) Also we have Texas Rangers baseball in Arlington, although he may not want to see them. We do however, get a lot of the East Coast baseball teams here (Yankees). I have a 13 year old and he loves going to the water parks during the summer. In October every year, a favorite in Dallas is the State Fair of Texas, which began yesterday. A fun thing I like to do is take the young ones down to Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose. It's a wonderful place to camp and explore nature and the big draw of course is the dino prints left in the Paluxy River which you can cross and actually walk around in if the water's not too deep. Also going to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is wonderful. They have the Omni (IMAX) Theater which shows the movies and you think you're really there.

I advised my coworker NOT to tell her husband. Her husband can be a real jerk, especially after a few beers and I worry for her safety. This guy she cybered with is about the same age, and used the stamp online community to hunt for ladies. I think they cybered for 2 or 3 years before they actually met in person, so it was sort of building up over time, it almost had to happen in her head. She says she loves her husband and doesn't want a divorce. But messing with this guy again under a different screen name is begging for trouble. She told me she wanted to see him and thought about going to that stamp/coin convention again this year. She told me it was in our state and she has considered just surprising her cyberboyfriend. That's when I decided my advice was falling on deaf ears. Her daughter has also advised against this, but my coworker even lost 30 lbs in the anticipation that she may see him later this year. This lady has so much going for her, but her obsession with this stamp dude is going to cost her everything!

My coworker tells me everything about herself and especially her cyberlife. A while back she went to a web site about stamp collecting of all things, and e-mailed the guy who ran it. Both are into stamps and coin collecting. They live hundreds of miles away from each other and the relationship started out as talking about stamps. They started doing the instant message thing and then several months later, he started talking very sexual. Her husband was out of town and she thought it was a real turn on. Then late one night he suggested cybering. She had an argument with her hubby she was trying to get even with her husband. Then pretty much the cybering started every weekend, especially if hubby was out doing the bowling thing. Several months go by and she is going to be in the state he lives in for vacation, mind you with her husband. She tells her hubby she wants to meet some people from the stamp online community. He drops her off at a stamp convention which was really taking place and goes on down the highway, dropping off his weekly load for his job. She meets up with this guy and things, turn well, you know, they had an affair. The next day her husband comes and gets her thinking she's been talking about stamps all day and she's really been doing the you know what in his hotel room. After that they met again online, until his wife saw what he was typing to my coworker. He fessed up to his wife about the affair and told my coworker he'd have to end talking to her. This happened last year and my coworker STILL talks about him to me. She has e-mailed him a few times but he shut down his website and doesn't respond to her e-mails. The latest is she got another instant message screen name so she could find him on the www, as she thinks he blocked the other screen name from his list. Get this, she is now talking to him with another screen name. He thinks it's someone else, and he wants to meet up with her. I told her to stop this. The other day she was so giddy because she had received a message from him. Her husband doesn't know about the affair and I told her she should go get some counseling and go on with her life and FORGET about cyberboyfriend. She's mad at me now and I told her I want to hear nothing more about it. This is a 50 year old woman, with grown kids and grandkids. I used to feel sorry for her, but I think she's getting ready to have her whole universe crash before her.

The following Saturday arrived quickly. Hilary and her parents showed up at the Kingdom Hall for Saturday morning service, and Hilary made a hasty retreat from her parent’s prying eyes and got into the car with her friend Annie. Hilary’s mom said “Come with us, Hilary, I want to spend the day with you in service.” “We’ve got a new book we’re offering to the householders and it would be great to place some today.” Hilary knew that her Mom wouldn’t be placing any publications that morning, just drilling her in the art of “Theocratic Witness Dating.” Her Dad should have written the book on it, as he seemed to use this theme throughout his talks through the years. Hilary had heard it all her life, and on the morning of her first real date with David, she wasn’t going to listen to it. “Mom, I am going with Annie, we’ve made a few appointments with householders and we’re going to do return visits and not at homes.” Hilary’s Mom and Dad gave their perpetual disappointed Jehovah’s Witness Mom and Dad look and reluctantly waved at their daughter. Annie got in the car and closed the driver door. “Boy Hilary, are you lying to the parents today or what? Does she really think we’re going to have this theocratic and fruitful day out in service?” Hilary told Annie “I don’t know what they think anymore, and right now, I really don’t care.” Annie looked over in mock disapproval “Hilary, you wouldn’t want to disappoint Mom and Dad, and you know Hil, that rebellious streak is showing already, I smell an elder’s meeting to be held in your behalf any moment now.” Hilary laughed and said “Bring’em on…” They drove out of the KH parking lot with no sudden destination in mind. “Where we are going to work, Annie curiously asked.” Hilary smiled and said “How about the nearest runway”, referring to David’s airport job. Annie suggested “let’s go do some Laundromats and apartment complexes.” “There’s a complex on the other side of town that’s got 15 mini rooms.” “I can place all of my magazines there.” Hilary was not interested. “Annie, why don’t we drive over and drive by David’s house?” Annie smiled and said “Oh yeah, let’s knock on his door and place the latest Watchtower with him.”
Hilary then looked in her purse, pulled out her makeup and started putting on her lipstick. “Hilary, I was joking, sure we can drive by, but for what purpose, surely you’re not going to get out of the car, don’t you think you’ll look aggressive?” Hilary said “I am not going to go up to the house, just drive and I’ll show you.” Annie gave her a look, the look she gave everyone when she didn’t want to do it but did it anyway. Annie always had that look in service! They made their way over to David’s place that was some distance away. Hilary then grabbed one of her magazines and smacked her lips across the front cover. So along with the “The Watchtower”, Hilary’s Revlon Super Lustrous Iced Amethyst graced across it. Then Hilary got out of the car, and put it in David’s mailbox. Hilary quickly got back in “Drive away Annie, before anyone sees us.” Annie said “I’ll feel like I am the getaway driver, and she accelerated down the street and came to a stop some blocks away. “Hilary, did you just kiss a Watchtower?” Hilary said “Well everyone’s out of town at David’s place, so I thought he’d be the one to retrieve the mail on Saturday. So I thought I’d give him a kiss even before tonight.” Annie then said “OK, Hilary I think I feel two elder’s meetings coming on…”
