I relished those breaks between the Public Talk and WT study. I used to dart back to the bathroom whenever possible. The secret to this: drink a ton of water before the meetings. I could get three trips easily in a two hour time slot.

The break between meetings
by freedom96 inwhen i was a young child, i remember there being a small break between the meetings.
you could get up, walk around, associate, and then go back in for the second half.
at some point, they changed it to where there was just the song.

I see families clasp hands together and pray as a family in restaurants all the time. It's no big deal, usually I see them on Sundays after church eating a noon meal.

A wonderfully talented group of brothers. I love their music. Sorry to see another one go way before his time. I remember when Andy Gibb went with Victoria Principal. She left him because of his substance abuse problems.

This sounds like a question Bob Eubanks would ask on The Newlywed Game. Definitely Killer Queen!

Most ridiculous statements from the JW stage?
by Smiles inwe have all sat at jw meetings and heard some ridiculous statements that were either shocking or just plain old bunk.
usually it is the same jw individuals that make those statements time and time again.
you know the type..... you can almost expect such comments from them.. jws place great importance on what statements or persons are 'stage worthy'.

Setfreefinally: I had an elder say the same thing to me one time. If it's not in the WT, I don't believe it. When I think back to all those sayings I heard in the borg, I want to curl up and die.

Are You Tough, Or Are You A Baby?
by minimus inif you were to describe your temperment, would you say that you are a pretty tough person or a crybaby?
do you wear your heart on your sleeve and tend to be emotional, or do you let things just bounce off of you?
-
TresHappy
Definitely the latter. I am so sensitive, I cry at supermarket openings.

Do you still like your user name?
by JH inat first when we joined, we all choose a user name that would identify us.
we also had the choice of puting a picture next to our user name.
often, some change the picture for a better one.

I have used the phrase "tres happy" in my vocabulary. Some people stare at me because they don't get the connection. I chose it to describe the fact I was very happy to be out of the Watchtower. Perhaps the right word is ecstatic to describe being out of the flames of the Watchtower.

My carefully worded response: After reading the Kingdom Misery, I have been diagnosed with Throw Up and Go Syndrome, commonly known as Heave & Leave.
