I remember reading about some porn star named Pat Myne - what a riot. I think Mona Scream would be a great porn name.

So What's Your Porn-Star Name? (Fluff, BTW)
by Englishman inyou take the name of your favourite pet as the first part of your porn-star name, then you take your mothers maiden name for your porn-star surname.. which makes me...george bennet, hmm fairly ordinary i suppose... but her ladyship becomes...poppy male...ah, it works sometimes then!.
this could be good.
englishman.

What do you think when you go by a Kingdom Hall?
by TresHappy ini drive by a kh every day, since it's very close to my work route, and i was wondering if anyone else secretly cheers that they don't have to go back into one of those things.
when i see a few cars parked there on the weekday, i am so thankful i don't have to go out and talk that stuff to strangers.
any thoughts?

The Gods Must Be Crazy shows on IFC quite a bit. If you have satellite, you know this station. It shows a lot of interesting and off beat movies.

Local lad makes good
by expatbrit init's quite amazing the stuff you don't know about the place you grew up.. i just found this rather interesting article on the net about one of the prime movers behind the jamestown settlement.
what caught my eye was that he was native of suffolk in england, my neck o' the woods.
a bit of research reveals him to have lived in a town called bury st. edmunds, not fifteen miles from where i grew up!

My main ancestor was on the first census taken in Jamestown in 1623.

I think I`m catching Ally Mcbeal sickness.....
by Sparks in....and it`s great!!!
over the past few days, when ever i start to think of the witnesses,i hear bob dylan...i`ll try to explain.
when i was still attending the meetings and still regarded my self as a witness.i would often hear very nasty remarks from other witnesses, mostly elders and full time pioneers, about those that only came to the hall for the memorial or c.os visit.the most memorable time was while out on the minestry with an elder.a young couple went by pushing their baby in a buggy.

I think I would like to get what Ally McBeal has - Harrison Ford.

Friday crucifixion?
by rstrats init is my understanding that jws believe that the crucifixion occurred on friday.
however, luke 24:21 would seem to indicate that it couldn't have occurred any later than thursday.
how do you explain the seeming discrepancy?

Thank you for the clarification. My parents used to talk about this but I never paid much attention to what they were saying. Now I get it!

Laci Peterson
by Mulan inhas anyone here been following the disappearance of the 27 year old pregnant woman from modesto ca?
what do you think happened to her?
for some reason her disappearance is very upsetting to me.
-
TresHappy
I think Laci Peterson met with foul play also and her husband is responsible. He was off having an affair with another woman and took out a $250,000 life insurance policy. All sounds terribly suspicious to me.

The most romantic act ever done for you?
by zenpunk inwell valentine's day is almost here...but the most romantic thing my husband ever did for me came a few days earlier - on my birthday.. this is the very first birthday i am openly celebrating since leaving so he took me to my favorite restaurant sat.
night.
as we were walking in, i said, "someday i would love a big birthday party with all my family" (sans jw parents of course).

I wish this had been done for me, but to me this is the most romantic thing ever done:

Do you read *every* thread?
by Introspection inwell, do you?
it just seems incredible to me with the amount of traffic that's on this board - just curious how many if anybody does that.
-
TresHappy
Some threads I don't read because I am at work and don't want some of the adult stuff on my computer. Definitely the title grabs me and then I read them. It's a great place to vent!
