How Many Came in via Door-toDoor Witnessing?
by JW_Researcher in.
what percentage would you say came into your old or current congregation(s) via the door-to-door witnessing?
it is understood that your response is a guestimate.

I'm an atheist, so why does some religious music move me so much?
by nicolaou ini often find myself playing george harrison's 'my sweet lord' while i'm at my pc and i can't help but resonate with his genuine, heartfelt devotion, his appeal to christ or krishna.
the way he opens and pours out his heart to his 'lord' is inspiring.
a while back, i went to a catholic church to see two friends renew their wedding vows.

HELP! I STILL HAVEN'T PICKED A MAJOR!
by stillAwitness ini am about to enter my second semester in college and sure i know: i've got time to decide what i want to do as far as a major goes, but my school is converting into a brand new college by fall of 06 and they are urging those who are there now to hurry up and finish asap since transfering credits and such will soon get tricky once the new college is established.
my counselor says not to worry.
i still have until about the fall of 07' but i still feel i am in the dark.. what did you major in college or what is your major now?
-

Go to your counseling office; although they may sway into programs that don't have enough majors; our counselors at my previous college used to do that...better yet, take advantage of the services available at your career center at your university. You're a student; so the services are free!

I just signed on after a week of being off. Used www.google.com - typed her name and San Jacinto and found a Kari living in Hemet. Went to a map of California and found that Hemet was next to San Jacinto. So I figured it was her...

Googling is always a good shot - do you know if she sold real estate? If so, this is your gal. She lives in Hemet, right next to San Jacinto!

I don't know if this guy is a JW, but he died and is a well known artist. His memorial service will be at a Kingdom Hall.
Joe Pinckney HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) - Joe Pinckney, an artist known for his paintings of the Gullah culture, has died. He was 75.
Pinckney died Tuesday from kidney failure, his daughter Ellice Lewis said.
The Gullah descended from African slaves who settled on isolated sea islands and marshy areas from Jacksonville, Fla., to Wilmington, N.C., in the 19th century.
Pinckney painted his first Gullah piece in the late 1970s, becoming interested in the subject when he heard native islanders talk about how the culture developed because it was isolated.
"I think it was an extraordinary kind of art, because Joe did such a great job in portraying the Gullah culture and all of the traditions of the Gullah culture," said former Penn Center director Emory Campbell.
Pinckney was born in New York City. His father moved the family to South Carolina when Pinckney was 10. He returned to New York City and won two scholarships, allowing him to study at the New York School of Industrial Art and the Manhattan School of Printing. -

Police caution woman for breastfeeding in public!
by nicolaou ini just watched the local bbc news and there was a story about a woman who'd fed her baby while sitting on a public bench.
she finished and was on her way when a police car drew up beside her and asked her to stop.
there had been a complaint.

There was a woman somewhere in the U.S. kicked out of a mall for breastfeeding in public. Some security guard said there had been a complaint. She went to the media and the mall security guard was reprimanded and the mall management quickly apologized for the matter. Some people just don't get it.

If I am not mistaken, don't Latter Day Saints keep a 2 year supply of food in their house in case of the End?
Mom studied with them before she became a JW. She stopped studying with them because she didn't agree on their explanation of why they practiced polygamy. Not long after, a JW knocked on our door!
The Mormons I have met are sweet people. One of my current co workers is LDS, very nice and very beautiful. She just got her doctorate from school.

I've seen CTR's grave in Pittsburgh. Does it matter if he was a Freemason? Not to me. He was the Laodicean Messenger. I believe everything I read on tombstones. - LOL
