On a side note, just be aware of the perverse policies of the Watchtower that allow and protect pedifiles to remain in the Hall after they have been convicted by courts and sentenced, especially in Australia, along with other major religions that protect these pedifiles. Actually pedifiles seek out kingdumb Halls to pretend to study and progress, just to get access to young ones ,in field service, knowing if they get caught, the elders will not turn them into the police, but just reprove them. If you care about children, you will champion for change in this policy because it puts all children in the Hall at risk. Just google EUNICE SPRY, or CHRISTOPHER SPRY and read up on the worst case of child abuse in the UK, for 19 years EUNICE SPRY abused and starved 4 children, all while going door to door proclaiming Jehovah,s kingdom. She served 6 years of a 12 year sentence, and after getting out was reinstated to her Hall. Thank you Jehovah for protecting ALL the children.(sarcasim) Can you imagine all the children she met in the ministry, that were just arms length from this sadistic creep, talk about a wolf in sheep,s clothing, there is the poster child for the wolves. Google her name and read in horror.

"Historical" Announcement This Week?
by headisspinning inmy daughter asked if anyone has heard anything about a 'big announcement' being made sometime this week in congregations in canada and possibly beyond... in her words "it's like a biggggg long thing, they cut out part of the book study for it and people heard it was a historical thing"... any ideas?
could it be the mexican branch closing or the theme of the convention?
or something else?

If you go to a Kingdom Hall and see a weigh scale at the entry way, you know that the big A has arrived! ha ha

I have begun to listen to a lot of JW podcast now when traveling and on one episode was an interview with an ex elder who said they were considering disfellowshipping fat people. Wow, if that happened it would be historical and make every headline in the modern world. One way to get rid of a few governing body members too.

I was listening to JT,s podcast recently on Critical Thinkers site and on one episode, he was talking about how the Watchtower in the next 5 years will be making a change in the Blood issue because of all the lawsuits. Now that would be historical if they did remove the ban on blood, and maybe a lot of witnesses would finally wake up.

When I bring up to still in friends about the worst case of abuse in the UK, Eunice Spry, who abused 4 children for 19 years, they say she was not a Jehovah,s Witness (like she was just pretending). According to this new article, they have to claim her now

On one of the shows this eve, they said Debbie is keeping Carrie company in Heaven. How I want to believe this is true, but the practical side says they are just gone, no longer in existence, now that is what,s sad. Which lie will we find out is true.

Just curious about how faithful women are these days. Anybody know?
by Alostpuppydog inso being someone who is not, however still believes around 70% of what the jw's talk about as far as the bible goes, ignoring the fact of no blood transfusions, shunning, etc.
wt doctrines, i got this question.
anybody really know how faithful 'worldly' (i use this term lightly 😉) women are these days?

This video was made by the watch from the tower in the 60,s and is an insight into the mind set of the leaders at the time. It,s almost like they were jealous of the world,s attitude and had to make this crude video to steer young ones in their direction.

Sisters running microphones?
by NikL inso our sunday meeting was on the 25th (christmas) and my active jw wife and i were out of town enjoying some family time with relatives.. apparently there were many others in our congregation that missed as well.
so few were there in fact that sisters ran the mics.
(actually it was a sister running one of the two mics) a friend of my wife commented to her about how the brothers just aren't stepping up and it "makes her want to cry.

More funny incident sunday 25th. someone behind us phone went off right during a very silent period and could not locate it quick enuf to shut it off. It was playing 'Here comes santa clause, santa clause, coming down santa clause way.... for at least 40 minutes. It was hilarious, a lot of snickering going on.
