.
it was picked up here on the news that a german doctor defied authorities and performed a live autopsy on tv and in front of a crowd of people who had paid $19 each.

on monday, some tibetan monks will be giving a presentation at our college.
there will be a blessing ceremony and a lecture followed by a question and answer session regarding buddhism.. i plan to attend, as i would like to hear more about buddhism straight from the horse's mouth.
if any of you have any questions that you would like me to ask for you if i get the chance, please post them before monday morning.just be aware-i will not ask the monks if they wear underwear under their robes:).
Dang edited cus it was a duplicate.....again

Mulan I agree with this :
I know many Buddhists. They are so peaceful
and that the Dala has some good insight into certain things. As do other religious leaders.
I agree with this too:
No one can take advantage of you, without your permission." Ann Landers
Thats probably just as true or profound as anything the Dala says, we are personally responsible for what we give our lives over to.
Its unfortunate that my freinds who converted to Buddhism have constant internal battles regardless of the peace they display outwardly, they also deny reality now and are striving to reach perfection in a way that would exhaust JWs. I appreciate that is what they have given their permission too, it is their choice.

Buddism altimute goal is to reach none exsistence (nirvana), what exactly goes out of exsistence? They dont believe in the soul...
None exsistance, is that a reward that we should strive for? or is it a gift?
Buddism teaches that we should all learn to disconnect from all the things in our life, meditation is a tool to help us disconnect or disassociate from all our connections. Question...Does this mean we should also disconnect from Buddah? And from all literature written by Buddists? If so what is the purpose of connecting with buddism? Sounds to me like the JW disconnecting with everything except the GB, which then gives them total control over our mind.
in the agonising cycle of reincarnation (which is a purpose of freeing ourselves from all guilt in past life) why is it that billions are still in exsistence? We have had plenty of time to learn and pay for our guilt by reliving our lives, what makes you think we can achieve a guiltless none exsistence now?
Surely this would put us on the treadmill of trying to reach perfection yet never being free from guilt because we have never been able to reach perfection ? (that sounds a bit jumbled) Sounds very much like JWism again.

whats all the flap about some of you not wanting to see others beat a dead horse?
come on, can you think of anything with more intrinsic entertainment value or raw fun than beating a dead horse?
i say, "those who wish to should be allowed to swat away".. while were at it, some of the "sacred cows" on this board probably deserve a good spanking as well.
P.S. Don't let the show start without me!
Take your time Petty, looks like the pause button has been glued down (suspects IW has sumpthin to do with this)

i loved your post' and i miss reading them.. i know someone hurt you, i miss you very much !!!!!!!!.
is your baby here yet, please keep me informed.. please come back .
Parents will know this but when your wife is in the final weeks of preganancy, both of you get
stressed and worried over little things that otherwise wouldnt be a problem, this can cause a reaction
that we would otherwise avoid i.e swearing and being sensitive.
When your wife is in labour, well there's not a thing enters your mind other than the pain
she is in...makes you realise that every woman on earth deserves a lot more than a medal.
When she produces that bundle of joy, every breathing moment is focused on the baby and wife
for the next few weeks. Then there's the endless phone calls the preparations at home etc
He'll be back, he's just in the process of finding time.
All the very best to him and his family

he has had 4 chemo treatments and they are giving him a scan tomorrow to see if they are staying the same size or shrinking!
(tumors).he just woke up so i know he is nervous.usually he sleeps good.sure could use some good news!.
i have the feeling they will stop the chemo if it isn't doing any good!.
I love him more than life.
He obviously loves you more than life too G, after reading that what a credit he is. Pat him on the back for us.
Feel gutted for you right now knowing the stress and worry that you must be going through, I do hope that you will both get the support you need to get through this, its the mental stress as well as a physical illness.
I have a freind that has suffered many years with cancer, its amazing how strong the human body and mind is and how we sometimes fight back against the odds. I do hope someone comes up with another option that hasnt been realised yet.
Thanks for letting us have the update
Your really are in our thoughts and prayers
