  hello to all who have been escaped from the wt bondage.

  i just da'd last week, the most difficult decision i've ever made, but i'm 99.999% sure i made the right decision.

  this website has been a godsend thus far.

  I'm a Buckeye, too (Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Troy areas). Born in Youngstown. Living in Ft. Lauderdale, FL for the past 11 years. Spring is coming which is a beautiful, regenerating time of the year in Ohio. Get out and smell those wonderful, wonderful trees that I miss so much!

  If you are no longer of a spiritual mind (sometimes the WTS destroys this in a person), at least you have the freedom to pursue other areas of life that you have missed.

  If you have remained Christian through this horrific experience, continue to pray to Jehovah, God, Father, Jesus (whatever...he hears you) for direction. Later, when you have relaxed and are less stressed out, you may want to pursue spiritual interests with a new freedom of open-mindedness. Just keep in mind that man may never be given all the answers to everything. Pursuit of those answers may, after all, be mankind's intended lifelong course. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:6). Even though the scriptures say not to "...foresake our own assembling together...." (Heb 10:25), I would recommend that you be very, very careful about joining any church for right now. Church's are also organizations and suffer the same problems as the WTS.

  Easter is coming up and there is what seems to be a nice mainstream Presbyterian Church down the street from me. I was originally baptized Presbyterian and I really look forward to partaking for the first time in 11 years. But regular attendance? Not right now. Membership? Probably never.

  GET A NEW BIBLE....THE N.A.S.B. IS GOOD. Keep the NWT. You will need it to prove how the WTS seriously twists the scriptures. Efforts will have to be made to "unlearn" what you have learned. There are plenty of discussion topics on this board that will help you sort out doctrinal issues. Use the "Search" function at the top. I found that people of other Christian faiths have difficulty comprehending the doctrinal conflicts that go on inside a JW's head when they leave. They simply have no idea because they have never been indoctrinated in that way.

  My mother and I purchased Super Blue Stuff. She is elderly and has arthritis. It helps her more than me. I do, however, get some relief for my tennis elbow. Most of my pain is muscle-related and not arthritis-related. Relief is temporary.

  Super Blue Stuff contains MSM ("methylsulfonylmethane") which is a dietary supplement and non-toxic form of active sulphur.   remember when you were a dub and hated to go out in service.

  well i'm a df'd dub and i got my own message that i've printed up and i've been going to all the kingdumb hall i know and working the territory that surrounds the kingdumb hall with this tract, and the response is totally great, here is the tract i use:.

  jehovahs witnesses keep coming to your door because they dont want you to be destroyed at armagedon.. all members believe they belong to the only true religion and every religion except theirs is from the devil, and that god will destroy you for not being a jehovahs witness at armagedon.. you must serve the watchtower and let the watchtower control your life or die eternally that is what the jehovahs witness believe.. .

  What's in a name?

  some interesting comments about the confusion caused by using multiple identities in the last day or two.. i was wondering, as there are some strange sounding tags about, what is the story, if any, behind your screen names?

  and what are your favourite alternatives (i thought about being dungeonmaster).

  i am 'dmouse' because it's a shortened version of my full name, dean moorhouse, and i used to love the (uk)cartoon dangermouse when i was a kid.

  I used to ballroom dance. Fox Trot...."Trot a fox" as in "Would you like to trot a fox (foxtrot)?" When I first signed on, I was a little dancing mouse. I miss him so voila...here he is.

  [b]Mulan[/]: Take it from a South Floridan. Trust me. You don't want to be in the Keys during a Hurricane. I remember seeing a picture of a man clinging to the top of palm tree with nothing but water all around him. The Gulf literally met the Atlantic and covered over the Key in that particular area. Frightening. It's a great place to vacation though. Just go during the winter season or the beginning of summer before July.

  I was also here during Hurricane Andrew. NOT FUN!

  A-Hah. A topic close to my heart.

  My continual pursuit...Peaceful, quiet seclusion on a beach. I really would like to own a cottage or condo on the beach somewhere that hasn’t been discovered by 99% of the world’s population yet. I live in Ft. Lauderdale and I love SoFlo winters (it’s 78 degrees and sunny today ) but if anyone has found a place in Florida (or anywhere else for that matter) that fits this description, I’d be happy to hear it. I am so-o-o-o tired of tourist traffic. Every square inch of South Florida is developed to the max (unless you want to live with alligators. LOL).

  Ashville, N.C. and the Smokies. I’d like to visit there someday.

  Safe4kids: Serious? I vacation in Captiva occasionally. Year-around or winter home? Bring $$$. I question whether there are any year-around residents there. Mostly tourists and wealthy retired Winter snowbirds on both Captiva and Sanibel Islands.

  thanks to amazon.com (where would we be without those guys?

  ) i've just received my copy of the new book "awakening of a jehovah's witness" by dianne wilson (published by prometheus books, 2002).. the dust jacket carries these words: "her engrossing first-hand account will be of great interest to former witnesses, students of cult phenomena, anyone who has ever experienced an abusive relationship, those who want to learn more about what compels people to enter this group, and all who have everhad contact with jehovah's witnesses.".

  it looks like a good read, all 327 pages of it, just going by the table of contents.

  today is my birthday, born in 1936. that makes me 66. i can hardly beleive it.

  i'm still in good health but know it's just a short run until something does me in.

  i'm really thankful for the great life i've enjoyed, no real problems that i consider serious.

  i thought it might be a good idea to find out at what age or after how long we descided to leave the watchtower.. prehaps we my find a patern in it which we could use .. i think what we need to know are ,.
