OK, people. Computer dunce that I am, I need to know if anyone else can pick this station up by clicking on the "Listen Live" on the Web site (see above). It's crystal clear reception. Would be wonderful if others are able to listen to her program. Unlike Lumbaugh, she tackles the noisiest dissenting opinions (Rush baby feels he's above it all). Watch out though....she's certainly no dummy. Was loads of fun during the Presidential SElection.

Did anyone catch this under the "Comfort..Stricken Spirit" secton regarding repressed memories?

If the accusation is denied, the elders should explain to the accuser that nothing more can be done in a judicial way

. And the congregation will continue to view the one accused as an innocent person. The Bible says that there must be two or three witnesses before judicial action can be taken. (2 Corinthians 13:1; 1 Timothy 5:19) Even if more than one person "remembers" abuse by the same individual, the nature of these recalls is just too uncertain to base judicial decisions on them without other supporting evidence. This does not mean that such "memories" are viewed as false (or that they are viewed as true). But Bible principles must be followed in establishing a matter judicially.
What if the one accused—though denying the wrongdoing—is really guilty? Does he "get away with it," as it were? Certainly not! The question of his guilt or innocence can be safely left in Jehovah's hands.MAKES ME SICK!

How many found the REAL truth from the internet?

if it was'nt for the internet i would still be stuck in the endless cycle of drone like meeting attendance and field service.

(technically i'm still in but not for long) i'm really glad that some ex-jws took the time to speak about the real truth.

for the longest time i always thought that what i was taught was correct, i never even felt the need to question it or validate it with actual facts.

Yep. Internet did it for me. I bought a new computer and was finally able to get the Internet at home. I was playing around late one night and typed in "Jehovah's Witnesses" in www.mamma.com and whoa. I ranted and raved for 4 days. Here I was killing myself for 11 long years trying to keep up with everything, feeling guilty when I couldn't, and beating myself up for not "measuring up". I was s-o-o-o- a-n-g-r-r-r-ry (still am but I'll get over it). I quickly followed up with Library research, book stores, and read Crises of Conscience and In Search of Christian Freedom books. If only 10% of what I found out was true, it was enough to leave that organization. AND I DID. Nobody lies to me and treats me like a sucker for very long!

i guess i'm showing my age here, but do any of you remember the movie version of johnathan livingston seagull?

soundtrack by neil diamond?.

there is perhaps no better subtle indictment of the wtbts than this movie.

Francois: Yes, I read the book, saw the movie, and have the album. It was quite a few years before I became a JW though. I remember it was Easter. Someone gave me the book and I saw Jesus of Nazareth on TV at the same time. The two in combination was a very moving experience. Now that I have had the "JW experience" (Ugh), I'll have to re-read the book or rent the movie. Will be able to watch from a different perspective now.

Are you speaking of input at the Kingdom Hall and service or here on the Board (I hope not)? Read Crisis of Conscience. Let your conscience (and your prayers) be your guide as to what to do.

Usually, there isn't any "leaving for a little while" without someone calling on you but you can try the "fade away". Usually those who move do employ the "fade away" (just forgetting to check in accidently on purpose at the new Kingdom Hall sort of speak). If it culminates eventually in voluntary disassociation or judicial disfellowshipping, your Mum does not have to participate in the shunning. She will not be permitted to speak about spiritual matters with you that's all. True for immediately family only. Others will shun. If you're Mum is all you have or care about being separated from, this should not be a problem but that depends on your relationship. Can sometimes cause rifts as others on the Board can attest to.

Would you like to share a little info about yourself if you can. If not, that's okay.

i was at the hospital all day with my best friend, mattie.

she had a biopsy on her colon this morning.

they are looking for cancer, seeing they can't seem to find anything else causing her problem.

Howmuch do you pay for internetacess

intresting to chech how much money do you pay for bee out on internet here in sweden it is not so commen widh brodband on the country where i live, i hade modem and it cost a lot of money , if you are out on the days it costs around 2cent minute, and if you are out on the evning it is cheeper, around half, and then you have to pay a price evry month 20$, they who have brodband pay only 35$ and have acess all time, but i think it is impossibel to have it here it is only in the bigg citys.

happy man: Yes this is the "Where the Boys Are(n't)" city otherwise known as "Ft. Liquordale". Ah, yes. I remember scenes like that way back when I did the beach bar scene. I had a guy saddle up to me asking what my sign was; a little navy squirt and I was old enough to be his mother and he was too drunk to notice. "You live here...cool".
