they watch to see if anyone might be offending another person's conscience.
they listen for any negative comments that could bring "reproach on jehovah's name".
I have to admit, one will find those people all over-I don't think that there has one place of work that I have been where those types of people exist. sometimes I think to myself how wonderful it would be to go to the assembly and listen to this garbage in person.
then I would walk out laughing, and before I walk out the door, light up a cigarette and yell out "you guys are a bunch of knuckleheads".

the only jw i still have contact with is my mother, mainly due to the fact that she is close with my 12-yr old son.
she is single (divorced actually), cleans for a living, if that's what you can call it and has no other children.

just another thought, are we as a nation a slave to the press? for some dumb reason, the press gets hold of a story and won't let it go...I honestly think that Scott Peterson was not the only husband to kill his wife in the past year or so...why is this story the only one that gets press? what about all the other women killed by their husband or vice versa? american press kills me, they get hold of a story and won't let it go, malheureusement, there are some people who follow it with mouth agape like the idiot in the photo.

I remember getting alot of flak from my workmates about discussing why I could go to the reception and not the wedding of worldly friends when invited. Who cares, those jokers can go to hell too.
I remember going to family funerals when I was younger, (our family had a nasty habit of dying). While it felt wierd, somehow it felt right, I mean, how can you feel bad about paying your last respects to family?
