  i don't know if anyone has said this before, but i wanted to say a big thank you to all of you non-jw's who have put up with us and stayed with us and helped us out so much.. i know offhand: jerome, detective, and hawkaw.

  i know there are many many more of you, but please step up here and take a very well-deserved bow and get a very well-deserved hand from me and from others..

  I too have never been a JW and never will be.
  This site was recommended to me by a good friend who was a dub,the reason being that I grew up in a fairly rigid religious environment(father a vicar),so I do have an understanding of what it is like to be viewed by people as something different.
  Like many people whose posts I have enjoyed reading,it took me a long time to break away from what had been programmed into me and find my own individuality,and be accepted as a person and not 'the vicars son',so we do have something in common.

  i just happened to glance a the date as i was posting 2-13-02. one day before valentines day.

  i realized that i don't have a valentine.

  i subscribe to the idea that it is better to be alone and wish you were with someone than be with someone and wish you were alone.

  there are so many good brews out there and so many countries that produce them.which are your favs?here are a few of mine.. canada: kokanee,canadian,keiths,blue.

  german beer: holsten,becks,diebels,lowenbrau,flensburger pils.

  scotland: belhaven best,tennants.

  Now we are talking about a gift from the gods here,BEER,here are some proper brews.

  Cornish Knocker.
  Old peculier.
  6x.
  Bombardier.
  Bishops tipple,to name but a few.

  Diverging slightly,many years ago we used to have a brew called Double Diamond,there is a song that went with it,which has'nt been seen over here for about 25 years now.
  I have some good friends in Canada,and I can always recall going into a liquer store for the first time and seeing crates of it,that was a year ago,amazing!.

  its funny how a phone call from a poster can instantly change ones perception of that person.

  i suppose that we all have a mental picture of how other members look and talk, so the reality of a phone conversation with a jwd member can be very interesting indeed.

  Isnt beer gulped down like a fish,a young lady with wonderfull attributes looked at with goggle eyes,and its a well known fact that after 10 pints,a person has the attention span of about 3 minuits,work on that one!.
