I'm doing well with the diabets, portion control, couting carbs and on day 3 of Insanity. MAN, I am in pain.
So I missed the meeting yesterday, (watched 2 great NFL games)
About 8:00 pm, I get a text from an elder: brother, please read Hebrews 10:25 (Meetings are important) -miss ya bud.
I've read that text a thousand time, not sure how to respond.
Any ideas.......
Update: So I haven't gone to a meeting in about 3 weeks. (no calls or visits from Elders) nothing. I did receive a text this morning saying: Bro, you had part last night! We covered for you. See you Sunday (you're chairman) This text is from a fellow M.S.

this might be an unfair question for those who have been out of the organization for decades, but i'm wondering if any of you remember your earliest doubt -- maybe something odd that occurred to you as a kid (if you were a jw then).
please try to limit to two doubts at the most :-).
i think my first "doubt" was simply realizing that at the time of the flood, every animal that wasn't in the ark died (well, besides the fish, supposedly).
For me it was after J.C.'s thousand year reign, we would face on last test when Satan and his demons would be released.
I was 14, and asked my dad (elder) Why would Jah do this? Doesn't James 1:13 say that HE doesn't tempt us.
His answer: The devil would be tempting us, not Jah.
Me: But who released the devil from the abyss????
Never made sense to me.

My co-worker gave me the most heartfelt x-mas card ever. She said I know you don't celebrate, but please accept this. I was reluctant, but I thought to myself well her intentions were good, why not. I read it and it made me ball up, she said " You are an model employee that the rest of us look up to, you stand firm regarding your beliefs yet don't pressure us to believe the same or condem us for our actions, you are an honest hard-workrking person who is a pleasure to be around. You are religious but have a balanced point of view of others. Thanks for being you.
On one hand I feel proud that I glorify Jah's name at work
but on the other, I feel crappy about accepting an x-mas card.

dear friends:.we are under attack by email hijacking and someone is using our email address to send out spam.
it has to be because of the confidential documents that were going out in the emails.
i will have to discontinue the emails and go back to posting the documents on jwn..this is an example of just how badly somone wants to keep these documents out of the public eye.

Yeah, I never thought about the fact that EVERYTIME a disaster happens. We only pray for JW's EVERY SINGLE TIME..... Mentally, I'm heading out of the borg QUICK, I never thought my faith would be gone soooo quick. I have always been very aglie with the bible, I have helped 2 people get baptized in the last 15 yrs. But, the lack of LOVE has started me question things. How can a religion not pray for people who suffered a huge loss. I mean I can't relate with someone losing I child (I'm not a father) but what that person needs the most is condolonces and true love.
Not to hack my own thread, but BLONDIE I am a huge fan. LOL
