  also accounts of how they "miraculously" received bibles that they didn't think they could get - eg.

  geneva bible.. now - watchtower study review as there is no meeting tomorrow..

  "Loose conduct" is now "brazen conduct"

  I could see that one coming. I know it's in the elders "Shepherd" book but I had doubts whether they would have the balls to stick it in the new bible. "Brazen" is quite a change of meaning...

  Annual Meeting : where is yours?

  if the original announcement still hold for this weekends 'open' annual meeting, it will be streamed live to (only) english speaking members.

  is this still the plan?.

  i'm interested in hearing from all on the forum where 'their' program will be broadcast.. our local kingdom hall will be live streaming the meeting.. .

  DVD at elders meeting during circuit visit

  has anyone had a circuit visit this week and seen the dvd for elders/mss?

  i'm guessing it's got an introduction from one of the gb and then demonstrations of how to behave in different situations.

  i'd like to be prepared before seeing it to ask suitable questions.. the (not so) pure one.

  We always went down the pub after the elder's meeting, so my wife thought the meetings were much longer than they actually were.

  Well it must be a really long DVD presentation, or at least the meeting and discussion around it. The Ministerial Servants only got half an hour and were out the door by 7pm, but the Elders apparently didn't get out while 10pm, so it was a 3 hour meeting for them! Must be something juicy.

  greetings, soup lovers:.

  i have a huge kitchen at my disposal (not my own); vegetables, cans of this and that and spices are scattered about, prepared to go into a cauldron of minestrone i started a few days ago.

  i'm preparing ahead so as to freeze the leftovers to heat up later at home over my hotplate.. nothing like a 6-burner gas range to simmer over!.

  I've become a big fan of making my own butternut squash soup - it's pretty easy and you get so much out of it so it's good value. And you can spice it up too and give it a bit of kick!
