  Letter for More Free Workers Required by the ORG!

  letter read out at meeting last night - for scotland!.

  the scottish rbc urgently requires qualified plumbers who are registered central heating installers.. also, they are looking for volunteers to train as plumbers for the scottish rbc.

  Oh, was that only for Scotland? The way it was read out, for some reason I thought it was for the whole of the U.K.

  Is there even still a Scottish RBC anymore? Is it not just U.K. teams coordinated from London Bethel now?

  TFT Central shows you photos of the underside and there is quite clearly no HDMI, as they state.

  TFT Central is a great site - very thorough reviews, so I would definitely trust them over any forum.

  Also it looks like they're doing a 28" 4K resolution version - sweet!

  New "donation" arrangement begins to FAIL

  so here we are, almost a year into the "new" congregation donation arrangement.

  and its beginning, as was predicted, to fail miserably, and to have direct negative consequences on the poor sheep.. let me give you a little experience, directly from our congregation of about 80 publishers.

  back in may, after reading the letter about the "new" arrangement, the elder body decided to "donate" the extra funds on hand to wt, as directed.

  NoGoodDeed - From what I've seen, I think they're either doing it differently here in the U.K. or they're just a bit behind the U.S.A. in implementing it.

  They had the "pledge slips" a few months ago but it was presented more as "a survey" - I don't think the congregation here at least is sending off fixed amounts each month just yet, but they did send an initial lump sum off to the WTBTS. Maybe the arrangement is different because of the rules around charities here, or maybe it's just because the congregation is quite small. I think they're just reporting back to the C.O. for now.

  One interesting thing - I do know recently that the WTBTS here wasn't happy with how seemingly infrequent the contribution box was being emptied and counted (small congregation, so sometimes there is nothing there) - so now they want each contribution box receipt scanned and emailed to them as soon as it is written.

  I was accounts servant a few years back and I never heard of this being done - can anyone tell me if they've heard of this before?

  in the february jw broadcasting they show anthony morris the iii out witnessing with his wife during a convention.

  she is wearing the convention badge and also a badge with sophia & caleb on it.

  i find it very amusing and she is not even a grandmother even though they like to portray am as a grandfather.. here's what their 1990 w 12/1 says about movie stars.

  Sounds like you're doing all the right things.

  You just have to be ready for that crunch moment when someone wakes up and realizes the whole thing is a lie - some people react badly at that point.

  today i added a new article to my blog that shares a bit of astounding evidence of just how ridiculous it is for a jw to tell anyone anywhere that jws abstain from transfusion of blood, and plasma in particular.

  this article is based on two studies authored by medical staff at duke university's center for blood conservation, a program that is heavily touted by the active "noblood" crowd among jws.

  one of these studies contains a real whopper of a piece of information!

  Agreed - a C.O. of all people has his life so invested in the cult that he is just not going to seriously respond to anything which proves the JW's wrong - to acknowledge that would mean his whole life is pointless.
