The closest I ever got to the Japanese language is my son, he minored in Japanese in college. Even though he has finished taking all the courses the school offered, he and his girlfriend are still practicing it by reading books together. That was how they met. His reason for wanting to learn the language was video games and books. Now he doesn't have to wait for the English version of a game to play it.

Any of you JW super linguists learn to speak Japanese? If so, how’d it go? ;)
by Diogenesister inhi i’ve been learning to draw portraits, and one style i had a go at when drawing young children was a sort of kawaii or cute japanese style.
i wanted to make gifts of these drawings so looked into writing in japanese script to add to the aesthetic.. but oh wow!!
three types of script?!!

I'm not really into social media, outside of a couple of forums I don't really use it. I only have a Facebook account to keep up with the pictures my daughter in law post of my grandson. If it were not for that I would have closed it out a long time ago. I use to have a few people on my friend's list, that I know personally. Then when they started making rude and snarky remarks about things I did post, I ended up removing almost everyone.
I did check out Twitter but ended up closing out the account after it sat dormant for a long time, never used it after signing up for it.

Do You Support Police and Law Enforcement?
by minimus inrecently black lives matter representatives have encouraged people to spit in law enforcement officials foods.
some people are going into police stations and trying to kill innocent officers.
federal officials are marked for death because they try to administer the law.. what is your opinion of this type of lawlessness?.

I don't like it when someone decides to kill an officer just because they are an officer. This past December, Officer Stephen Carr, Fayetteville Arkansas, was sitting in his patrol waiting for his partner, in the police station parking lot, when a coward came up from behind and shot (murdered) him. The prick who did this was killed a short time later. Officer Carr was only 27 years. old.https://abcnews.go.com/US/arkansas-police-officer-shot-killed-precinct/story?id=67576439
Also that same night another officer from Houston Texas was also killed. Sgt. Christopher Brewster was only 32 years old. https://abcnews.go.com/US/houston-police-sergeant-fatally-shot-responding-domestic-violence/story?id=67573083
These men both had people who loved and cared for them

About a month ago I had mentioned my niece who's JW parents kicked her out. I let her know that she is welcome to my home if she wanted to come. Well, I found out through another relative that her JW parents (my sister) learned that I was more than happy to take in their daughter. To make a long story short they didn't want their daughter around an evil apostate, yes they have called me that in the past. They have allowed her to move back home.

by Tameria2001 innormally when jws come to my door, i very quickly tell them i'm not interested in the jws.
and for about a year or so they don't come until that time passes.
well, they came by today, but this time i decided to not tell them to go away but had a nice conversation with the two that were at my door.

@EverApostate They are both older, the man said he been in for a while, from what he said he became a JW in the tail end of the 1970s, before that he was with another church. He was talking about how they actually use the scriptures, I was silently rolling my eyes in my mind when he said that.

Normally when JWs come to my door, I very quickly tell them I'm not interested in the JWs. And for about a year or so they don't come until that time passes. Well, they came by today, but this time I decided to not tell them to go away but had a nice conversation with the two that were at my door. They took that as permission to come back again at a later time. We talked about my background, but I did not let it known to them that I am a former JW, who hates the Watchtower. I officially left it (DA) 19 years ago. I've decided this time I would like to slip something that would get them to think for themselves...as if that is even possible, but you never know. Whatever it maybe I want to keep it short and to the point. Any ideas on what I can share with them without them screaming Apostate and doing this?
I almost forgot this was what they left with me.

Why the Oxygen Special will not work like we think it will...
by HiddenPimo inwithin the very documentary is a reason i think that jw's for the most part will not wake up even if they watch this program.
the one lady actually saw as her family sat behind the abuser in court supporting him despite the established fact that he had abused their very own child.. this shows how deep the indoctrination is.
i am not saying that some won't wake up, but the majority will carry on, not even because they think these things are lies but because they will look past that at all costs to side with jehovah.

Even if that is the case it will be a wake-up call for those who are not JWs but have dealings with them.

They Are Already Talking About Impeaching Trump Again!
by minimus inbecause he voiced his opinion on roger stone’s recommended sentencing as being grossly unfair, the democrats are talking about impeachment.. do they really think that impeaching him will mean that a democrat will get into the white house??.
it is crazy!!
!.

They have guaranteed that they, the Democrats, won't be in the White House come after the election. Especially with that stunt that Nancy Pelosi pulled at the State of the Union Address. They managed to turn many long time Democrat voters against them, and they will be showing this come November.

What happened to actually to go to prison for perjury, and in the case of a lawyer, being disbarred?
