  Call centre callers ... nice experience

  you've had them ... calls from companies trying to sell you something.

  i just had a call from a credit card company (one we've just paid off) offering us a 1.5% interest rate for balance transfers.. normally, i hate them but this one was different.

  i mentioned that we didn't have any balances to transfer 'cause we'd just managed to pay everything off and were now concentrating on saving to emigrate.. "oh, where too?

  Sylvia's son is really good at football and wants to play for the HS Football team.

  Old Sylvia: I'm so proud! Perhaps some scouts will find him and he'll get a college scholarship at a good university!

  New Sylvia: He isn't going to play. That sport is TOO dangerous. Those worldly people won't encourage him to go out in service. He'll miss meetings in the evening because of practice. He is better off vacuuming up cracker crumbs in the back row of the KH. Then he'll learn some truly valueable skills of a janitor.

  Being part of the California culture, we have to drive here. Public transportation in our city blows. I'd have to drive to the nearest bus-stop. People out here drive to their mail boxes. To get anywhere in town, its at least a 10-15 min trip and thats with no traffic traveling 50 mph.

  I guess its good I bought a motorcycle, gets about 65 mpg.

  I noticed there is a large amount of arguing going on here, mostly about foreign policy, war and what-not. Is that bad? Nahh. It just the natural result of people to have their own opinion.

  When you take away a person's ability to have their own opinion on such things a politics and beliefs, there isn't a lot to argue about. The dubs try to make a society where everyone has the same opinion (the one the GB has) so nobody will argue and get along.

  Too bad they can't stop us people who Want to think for ourselves! Think on, brothers and sisters!

  The Real Heroes of Telemark also tells the true (as opposed to the movie, starring Kirk Douglas) story of this sabotage against the heavy water plant at Rjukan, destroying Hitler'shope of a nuclear bomb. Bravery, cunning and endurance over and beyond the call of duty on the part of the SOE (a forerunner of SAS) agents parachuted into Norway made this operation, which met with much problems, possible.

  this woman seems to think so.pretty scary who is controlling our laws..wouldn't you say?

  june 14: avowed feminist and aclu activist ruth bader ginsberg was appointed to be an associate justice on the supreme court.

  based on a report she co-authored and on her previous decisions, these are some of the positions she has expressed in the past.

  Right, its all about age differences. I couldn't possible see myself with someone who is under 21. I'm 26 and thats a 5 year difference. I'm an adult and I enjoy the company of adults. But a boy or girl who is 18, and sleeps with a consenting boy or girl who is 16 shouldn't really be a problem.

  But after the age of 18, a person can join the porn business and do whomever they choose. I'd hate to see girls or boys at age 16 in such a business.

  Well thats not necessaryily a hang up. Wishing to be managamos (SP?) doesn't mean you have a hang up. I wouldnt want a wife or girlfriend to cheat on me either. (not that I have a wife and a girlfriend )

  But if someone doesn't want to be in a relationship and wishes to have sex with someone who also doesn't want to be in a relationship, then who am I to stop them. As long as nobody gets hurt doing it, then there isn't a big deal.
