Excellent Terry Memories were popping. My son is writing his own novel. Being Gay as A JW. A few short years ago I couldn't even say that sentence. Terry I look forward to more.

Distrust and paranoia among faders
by cedars inhi guys.
i'm interested in knowing whether any other faders out there ever find themselves feeling a little paranoid about establishing contact with other faders or former jws, just in case the unthinkable happens and things turn sour.. personally, i'm now fairly comfortable with the idea that i will be disfellowshipped or disassociated within the next year or so.
i see it as inevitable, and an essential transition in order to do what i want to do with my life.

My pioneer sister called yesterday
by mamamo inas soon as i saw the number i knew something bad had happened.
seems my mother (71) has breast cancer in her remaining breast.
her first time was in 2001. i volunteered my son's services for taxiing back and forth or whatever is needed.

Aussie oz you exprssed my thought. When mom was suffering Azeimers I was expected to be responsible for mom needs and told not to damage my mom religious belief. JW sibling did not drive 120 miles to visit mom during moms last two years of life. I felt used as I was working full time and was dealing with Imune disase at the same time.
Mamamo take care do what you can for your mom this will make you know you are the one living by the bible and god's word while JWs are pretending they are.

Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs

one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

one for sure. Former bethelite, elder who told me he was bi-sexual. He DAd himself many years ago but his health was failing and he was being shunned by his son and his daughter in law and was not allowed to see his grandchildren. My best friend who had been his first love in the 60's found hanging in his garage soon to be 4 years ago. My heart still clutches when I think of him. He was one of GB rape victims while at Bethel which I have known about for 50 years. And I wonder why I am so ANGRY

We witness girls oof the 60s wore long false lashes and mascarra and eyeliner to look cat like. Oh the good old days. Back in 65 I was tall slim blue eyes and long blond hair. At that time I on one Sunday afternoon wore a short yellow very tight arounf the legs silk dress from the Phillipines. This dress was awsomw abour three inches above my knees, made for a shorter woman. I didn't even get a bad response from the elders they were speeches not even a inviaion to a JC. Sister'Èlders were not impressed. I was going thru my first fade. Looking back my mom was awsome. She actually encouraged me. Oh for the old days. Yes one Servant told my mom I had great legs. Thank you I had forgotten my experience.

Are Elders waking up to TTATT?

jwn has a number of former elders who awakened to ttatt while they held their position, and a handful of current elders who help provide needed intel.. .
later, i learned he and his wife had faded, and both of his grown sons know ttatt as well.. .

Cagefighter, my friend and I had the koolaid discussion 25 years ago and yes we both thought ir is quite probable.. Sad to add she is thinking about going back..She needs her spirituality needs met.. It will not work out the way she hopes they are the same people we left. She is worrying me. She will listen to nothing I say and a 60 year friendship will end. Her decsion not mine
