GB (Splane) says JW parent should "force" their children

Yes, as said you can pressure obeddience for the first 15 years but as the teens come life changes. I believe the doubts are there for most teens it just depends on whethervthey act on their doubts. Force just doesn'twork. The tighter you hold on the more the young pull away. Try holding a todler too tight and see what happens.

Congratats you are doing an awsome job. Be proud, as I can tell you are. i have known several JWs pulled out of school to be homeschooled and they struggled to even get low paying jobs. you are accomplishing so much. Again congratulaions.

I think a troubleshooter has been assigned to our congregation

Be careful, troubleshooters are known to listen to private conversation at the KH. We had a CO troubleshooter sent to our circuit in the 60s. He was observed standing and listening to different groups conversations.

The MYSTERY of the Society's BETH-SHAN secret cult compound
by Terry in1945 black and white photo of beth-shan (now hand colored):.
beth-shan house built in 1939, ten years after beth-sarim on adjacent property.
beth-shan, which means "house of security" in hebrew, was literally a house of security -(cult compound)*- it was accessed by a single dirt road that was guarded and gated.

I grew up as a JW in California and this was never mentioned. Hiding JWs history. Isn't this what they critisized the Catholic Church for?

Odd KH Wedding
by earthfire inmy youngest sister was married last sunday and i was actually invited.
not to the reception of course but all of us ex-jw relatives had our own party so it was still a great family reunion!
i'm one of 6 siblings (2 step siblings, 1 half, and 2 whole :-) anyway, this was not my first time going to a wedding of a sibling and being an ex-witness.

Only Jehovah Witness petty rules take the fun out of any happy gathering.

How many here attended your high school reunion as a JW?
by jam ini was to afraid someone would ask, so what are you.

I went to my high school reunions while still being a JW and so did my husband. It made me realize how much more I could have enjoyed school. I also enjoyed drinking without worrying about who would see. I also saw my JW classmate smoking and never told an elder.

Only got to the Pike once but loved the roller coaster. The kids from my congregation went to Pacific Ocean Park near Santa Monica the most fun JW kids ever could have.
