  after some considerable thought i have decided that i will no longer post on this forum because i want to return to jehovah.

  the jehovah's witnesses came to our door, claiming to hold the secrets of family happiness.

  they told me they had the "one true religion," and had come to save my life.

  i was a bible student for quite awhile, along with my husband.

  My family has 1 df'd and 2 shunning and several extended who shun.

  Husband family has our df'd one his sister df'd plus a nephew df'd and his family has 2 members who are shunning. The ones doing the shunning are actually the ones who are missing out on life.

  in 2002 i was diagnoised with thyroid cancer.

  it was growing fast.

  my thyroid was removed and treatment started.

  Kari you mentioned your son has lupus. One of the symptyms of lupus is chronic exhaustion, this may contribute to his having a hard time handling things the average person can handle no problem. Lupus also damages internal organs. Many symptems of lupus are not visible to others and come across as laziness. Please check symptoms online he might just not be able to work at a job in a normal manner. BUT you are right in that his grandfathernis an enabler. Best Wishes Kari you have so much to deal with in your life.

  I have spoken to members of my family about being baptized young. I was 14, husband 15, daughter 14 and our son was older 19. Not one of us now feels if we knew what we were actually dedicating ourselves to. My husband and I baptized in the 60s we thought it was Jehovah, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, no where was the Governing Body mentioned, probably because they didn't exist in the 60's. My son made the comment to me last week that he wasn't the same person at 19 that he became at 25.

  it's not often we can share some good news where a bad situation has progressive jws come to the rescue and ignoring the elders jedi-mind-meld tricks!.

  how often did you see jehovah witness elders or friends, servants, older men or the wisdom of the sisters who were pass the bloom of their youth give advice to kids thinking about getting married?

  would you feel sick if the elders knew the woman you were going to marry was mentally ill, currently she had her depression and hallucinations under control because she was taking hard core medications?

  The Elders will now start stalking him because "Jehovah hates a divorcing" they look at annulment the same way. How do I know? watched something very similar happen. Elders and CO answerd to young man, should have got to know her before vows. My question HOW? You discourage dating, being alone together. Tell young man run the other direction or his life will be one continuous JC.

  to the women out there that have been honoured with an invitation this is the question they ask themself.. .

  i am going to admit one of the reasons i enjoyed the meetings was getting to dress up.

  how many women out there found the meetings an excuse to dress up.

  OF course what we wore was important . IT was a reason to celebrate even if itvwas only with a new dress. It became the only time we could ourselves first and do a small amount in our stange way of celebrating life.
