Me? Well I have had lots and lots of sex. I chew, I cuss, I drink. I enjoy every minute of my life. I sleep in on weekends. And I have ZERO guilt. I follow my conscience and it is a good guide. I hurt no one, except maybe myself from time to time, but that's being human. -

Great post. If this alone doesn't convince any "honest hearted" person who's a JW now that this Organization is a real FALSE prophet according to Deut. 18 then I don't know what will...... -

There are only two eventualities possible.
1. You cease to exist and that's that. Dust to dust.
2. Something else happens - what this might be know one really truly knows.
I'm hoping for the later.

Quick recap. I'm 44, been DF'd about a 10 months. Got baptized when I was 18, in and out of the bOrg for years due to guilt. Finally woke up about 4 months ago.
So I read on here a lot, and I study other things about God and the Bible too, so with all that swimming around in my brain I have some weird dreams now and then. I hardly ever remember my dreams though. Like almost never. I'd say less than once a month do I even remember a little snippet of a dream and then it quickly fades. The other night I had a dream that was so very real, as real as real life and I remembered it for a couple days so I'd like to share it.
I was at an assembly. I had my beard and I wasn't wearing a suit or anything. I remember in my head I was there as an apostate observer. I was just going for fun, to see what's up or what has changed. I was there with some friends who were also apostates but I can't remember who they were.
I remember standing in the area outside the main hall doors and it was just this weird creepy vibe. A brother I know came up to me and kind of gave me a knowing look, then moved on. I felt like a spy, like I wasn't supposed to be there.
We go in and sit down. The hall was a big one with about 70% of the seats empty and everyone who was there was sitting all clumped together in the middle about mid way down. A Bethelite was the speaker and he was very rambunctious and speaking like Bro Lett and all he was talking about was money money money.
All the attendants were going round taking the count and they were dressed really weird. They had on these very bright colored flowing outfits that looked like feathers but all rainbow colored and they had these long feathery things on the ends of their arms and hands. Very strange. I think they were trying to impress the children and also they were taking donations.
We stayed and listened for a while and then we were about to leave and I woke up at this point.
I know it's not a very good dream but it was so real, and when I woke up I just remember thinking "this religion is dying"
I think there are some symbolic things that can be taken from the dream. Obviously relating to what all I've been reading.
The small attendance relates to the outflowing of people from the bOrg who are waking up, and all their lying to fudge the numbers to make it seem like things are growing.
The huddling together in the middle relates to the sheeplike demeanor of the ones who are still in desperately clinging to the "Truth"
The Bethel brother and his spiel on money reflection the current thrust of the bOrg and their dying numbers of donations coming in.
The look the former friend and brother gave me symbolizing the fact that many are waking up to the TATT.
The bizarre dress of the attendants speaks to the more and more bizarre message and the clear depiction of the GB and how bizarre they really are.
I could go on. I know this post is stupid and boring but I just wanted to share.

The subconscious mind is a very powerful thing. Our brain is constantly taking in a vast amount of information at all times and must decide which information to focus on. This is what we perceive to be reality. So when a person has a NDE and they are called NEAR DEATH for a reason, as in NOT dead..... the subconscious mind plays a lot of tricks on you.
About the seeing your body from a far. I've had this happen to me in dreams. It's not an uncommon thing to have a sort of "projection" where you are viewing yourself from another spot in the room. Completely normal experience and happens all the time. I've had this happen to me on at least two separate occasions during sleep where I thought I was awake but felt like I was disembodied and viewing myself from above or from across the room. In fact I was asleep in some sense, my physical eyes were seemingly open and I was looking around the room from my vantage point laying on my stomach then all of a sudden I was across the room about 4 feet off the ground viewing my body lying on the bed with a silver string or cord going from where I perceived myself to be over to my body on the bed.
This was merely a dream for I woke up and was back in my own real conscious body and for a moment I was paralyzed. This is known as sleep paralysis and is very very common. Chemicals in the brain are released during deep dreaming to prevent your body from acting out your dreams, this is scientific fact, not demon possession or something crazy like that.
My point here is that as another poster said, ALL near death experiences can be explained. None of them are the same thus pointing to "Unreality" and not one singular "Reality". It's nonsense.

Reply to Bugbear: Why I believe in the Bible
by Saved_JW in[some words i corrected for spelling & grammer] .
"i have been studying the bible for almost 20 years....after graduating in history and science comparing to the the bible, i have have come to to the conclusion that the bible cannot give you any reason to believe in it at all.
so i wonder, why do you use the bible as facit to your believes?

I used to think the bible was god's inspired word, partly because of the "wisdom" in such books as Proverbs and Psalms. However, I was a very young man then.
Now I'm 44 and to be honest, when reading through these books of the bible now, none of the "wisdom" found there seems to be "God given". Any human who lives a long life comes to certain conclusions about live and how to treat others. So in reality, ANY human who is a thinking person and pays attention to situations in his/her life and how his/her actions affect others will come to these same conclusions about "wisdom" as found in the bible.
I know I myself have come to my own conclusions about how to treat people with kindness and integrity, all on my own, it's been proven to my through my past failures, and I've seen those former ways of dealing with others as ineffective, thus my own "wisdom" came through and I now follow that course.
Thus now I see that none of the wisdom found in the bible is "God given" it's merely the normal conclusions of thoughtful older men.
