And to have a 3rd person answer his question...Yes, I believe in God and I believe that there is much we can learn from the bible, but that there is also much we can learn from other religious writings as well.

If the UN dissolves...will the WTS recover?
by AuldSoul inthere is a public groundswell of support within the united states of america, inc. for the us to withdraw from the un.
while this departing of one-half of the seventh king (and the "king of the south") could be prophetically spun into a harmless twist and twang on an old saw, the general consensus seems to be that the un would have great difficulty maintaining orderliness within its ranks.
also, there is a strong argument to be made that without us financial backing the un would fold due to a shortage of funding.. although it isn't particularly likely, it is certainly a possibility.

Welcome JWFreak...hang in there, it will get better. You are in an excellent position to start working on your family since you are still an elder. Read some of the profiles on how others got their families out while still in.
For me, I had to move far away from my JW family to finally live my life the way I want. They still think I go to meetings and when I need to be updated on what's going on with the organization, I come here to get my "spiritual food." -

Thanks for the help. I like the "no underwear" rule. From what I understand, they get really wild at the Xmas parties. He works with mostly guys, only about half are married. Went to a company function last week and had a blast. I was told that they were tame then, but at the xmas party they get really wild. I just wish it wasn't so far off.

What movie disappointed you the most, what one impressed you the most?
by free2beme inthere have been occasion in my life, that movies have come out that i looked so forward to seeing.
then i see them, and i am so disappointed in the finish product.
then there are movies i go to see thinking, why am i wasting my time with this junk, and then i end up finding this movie to be something enjoyable and in some cases fantastic.

I just watched "Friends with money" and was totally disappointed. I really like Jennifer Aniston and there were some other good actors in it but the story line was boring. It never really went anywhere.
Recently saw "Invincible" and enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I read DaVinci code first and then Angel and Demons. I, too, enjoyed A and D more. Dan Brown is suppose to be working on another novel about Freemasons. Does anyone know when that is suppose to come out?
