  jehovahs witnesses are under a grand and multi-faceted illusion that has been fabricated and is being maintained by the society.

  one such facet of that great illusion is that jws are actually proclaiming gods kingdom and teaching people the truth about god and jesus.

  WOW, Frenchy---AWESOME post!

  The WTS is nothing more than a great MLM (Network marketing scheme). If you have ever been to an MLM meeting, you will make the connection. It's the same premise. I think that is what started opening my eyes was going to one, it seemed all too familiar.

  This is definitely a "must keep" post. Great job!

  just discovered this thread by going to who's who.. i guess i'll add my life story.. born and raised a dub, i didn't really mind being a witness but always had a secret desire to celebrate christmas, birthdays and halloween.

  they always looked fun.. had a really fun time during the teen years, had some great friends and we did our share of partying, but never really got out of hand.

  i was, for the most part, pretty good.

  Need Help FAST!

  my son (who's 15) came home from the meeting last night (he thinks he wants to be a witness, but that's in another thread) and said that his grandmother (my mother-in-law) told him my reason for not going to meetings (the un thing, also discussed in another thread).

  he told me that i need to talk to the po about it as he had heard about it a while back and has some information.. hmmmm, me thinks the mom-in-law has been talking to the po about what i told her last week.

  i'm sure that i will be getting a shepherding call (a drop-by, unscheduled visit) by him this weekend.

  Scully, as always, great comeback, I even thought of the adulterous affair myself.

  Geordie, I'm not sure that I want to get DF'd just yet, it would kill my mother, but I do like the "if I sold my soul to the devil" response because using their own literature, that is what they did. They've condemned themselves by all the scathing articles against the UN.

  I agree with you Biblexaminer, they are following in Satan's footsteps. I think this UN thing came upon them so fast and without any foreknowledge that they had to scramble around quickly to come up with some lame excuse and now that is going to backfire. Once you tell one lie you have to keep lying to cover up the first one.

  What a great board, William, Lilacs, kenny, dazed, sadie, and all of the ones I mentioned earlier, THANK YOU so much for your imput. I feel ready to take on the elders, well um, not really but I am getting closer.

  BTW, I intend to have my husband present if it comes down to it. He has a much better memory than me.

  The Dateline that aired Friday night was about a minister that scammed his church out of $400,000(US) and took advantage of his church secretary that was suicidal. She eventually did commit suicide. It was quite interesting.

  Thank you Mustang for your insight. Sometimes you have a gut feeling that you are right on something but do not know how to express it. You brought out into the open what I was feeling but could not access it out of my brain.
