I've been doing a lot of research lately and have found numerous articles (on the web) that cast Russell and Rutherford in a bad light. I've yet to run across anything negative about Knorr, other than he was responsible for organizing the preaching and teaching work on a worldwide scale, by setting up Gilead, etc. All of those things would be considered a good thing, and a loyal witness may argue that maybe Jehovah cleaned up the organization by having him in charge. Any thoughts on the matter?

What Would I Have Done?
by Frenchy inin reading the gospels about jesus ministry i cannot help but be moved by his message and manner and i know i am not alone in feeling like this.
i marvel, smile, and slowly shake my head as i read about the miracles that he performed and have, at one time or other, wished that i could have been there to witness those marvels and to hear his voice.
perhaps like many others i have also wondered at those people who heard him and yet walked away.

Excellent post, Frenchy. Jesus was the ultimate "apostate."

Was Russell a freemason and an adventist?
by wholewheat inwas russell a freemason and was he a member of the adventist church?
-
TweetieBird
From what I've read through other websites is that Russell was never actually a freemason, but he did promote some of their ideals.
As far as him being an adventist, I don't know, but I trust that RR probably knows more on the subject of Russell than most of the other posters on this board. From what he said above, Russell would have been considered an apostate by the Adventists.

TweetieBird: re your question
by revdrjohnson inon another post you stated: .
i got the word [that this wasn't da trute] from the holy spirit at around 2:15 p.m. -- in the middle of the talk on the tuesday (2nd day) of the summer convention.
i picked up my 'bookbag' and headed for the exit.. what was it that convinced you, right there in that moment that it wasn't the truth?

TRIVIA:The 3 Secret Sins - What are/were they ?
by Dismembered inanyone remember what the 3 "secret sins" were, that the gb counselled us on in the late 80's & early 90's.
we were admonished to turn ourselves in if we were guilty so "da elders" could help us deal with them.
anyone remember?
