i've uploaded a video that discusses the dramatic jury verdict regarding the abuse suffered by candace conti, of which you are all aware.
if you're not yet familiar with the story for any reason, please check out my blog article on the link below.... http://jwsurvey.org/general-information/the-watchtower-punished-society-loses-legal-battle-over-child-abuse-case.
john hoyle suggested i get a youtube video out fairly quickly so that we can spread the message more effectively online.

that might seem odd, but it really suited my personality.
even before i became a jw i was annoying people with personal questions.
the thing is that it's sort of ok in normal land to do that as a cult member, but not as a "normal citizen".. .
I don't think I ever enjoyed it, not one minute. I enjoyed getting home and hoping that Armaggedon would come that day because I had actually done something that I was suppose to. I enjoyed feeling that I was pleasing Jehovah by going out in service but I HATED knocking on doors.
'how i got sucked into a cult'.

bangalore.
Very interesting.
i wanted to tell my story for sometime.
i've been a member of jwn for a few months and a lurker even longer.
here's my story.
Welcome to the board. Great advice already given. If I may add a suggestion, while you are fading I would spend extra quality time with your wife. If there is something that you both enjoy that would help you to be around non-JW's, try to get her involved in that. The more non-witness friends you have (as a couple) the easier it is to fade. Most JW's stay with it because of the social aspect, especially if you were raised in it.
There is also some great threads on getting your family out. One brother did it by means of the family study and asking questions. This would be a great opportunity for you to have a family study with your wife since you are "spirtually weak".
Good luck.
just wondering if they addressed and answered the question - something about "how do you view jesus?
".
Desirous-we must have been to the same one.
i have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.
I can't even begin to fathom what you must be going through. I hope you are surrounded by loving, compassionate friends and family to help you through this awful time. Please check in from time to time to let us know how you are doing.
i am very proud that we have been together for 10 years!
being raised a jw, it was always hard for me to find a long term relationship.
most people that i met weren't interested in anything long term, and each time one ended, it left me feeling like i would never find someone who shared the same feelings.
Happy Anniversary! Raising my glass of red wine in honor of you and Dave. Maybe I'll get to meet him on my next trip to Dallas.
once upon a time, there was a military commander named fabius maximus (the name sounds silly, i know, like gluteous maximus).
he faced a more powerful enemy he could not directly defeat - and so was born "the fabian strategy".. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/fabius_maximus.
it worked in the american revolution.. it worked in vietnam.
Very interesting, as usual. I hope I live to see it.

this explanation really helped me come to terms with these huge numbers, in a format i could understand.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heaven said it best: " No. Once you see the man behind the curtain, the magic is gone. Once trust is broken, you can never truly trust again. I prefer to move forward than go back. I left for a reason and those reasons have not changed, hence I would never go back."
