Blondie you and the others have covered the whole gamet of reason that some too young should not get baptized.

All those reasons are right.

To add My father, as we were raised in the country literally, with all the animals that go with it, provided very well, He drank on Friday many times to drunkeness and retired with 30yrs for a mining company with only a couple days missed thru that period. We as his siblings all had different personalities and delt with them some serious some not. And thru some of those periods us siblings getting together would excuse there problem to the way we were raised...I responded thats bull...t, your here because of him and the good hearts you have, have a great degree because of him.

My father went to as many meeting as the amount of times he missed worked. But when it came to gatherings he would be considered a regular pioneer for the ones he attended. He liked certains ones, the steak and beer he was alway in good association.

But he never supported me in my decision to go to Bethel, as a matter of fact he asked me "what are you going to learn to make a living?" "Why don't you go to school then if you still decide to go at least when you leave you'll have a proffesion. and if you go and learn nothing you might as well stay on the farms and mines, you'll get further."

I regret I didnt listen to common sence. Left bethelwith no solid skillsl and a great struggle that could've been avoided.

I think although others may differ, I would not let my kids get baptised till they were 18 and out of the house. At least if you blundered it, its not because you were to young.

JW's would rather have "wordly" people at their parties...

so...i have been completely out for 6 months, never df'd, just completely faded...my wife is still 100% active...turns out one of her cousins who is also an active witness is having their birthday...ahem, graduation party this summer.

my wife told me she wouldn't feel "comfortable" if i attend their parties/gatherings because i don't go to the meetings lol.

so she and her cousin are planning the graduation party as i type, and they are talking about inviting their school friends etc etc.

I've been, was, or whatever raised as one of JW's. Growing up as one of JW's I always was or groomed to have a heartfelt love and goals in the service of JW's.. went (servived, served,) in bethel 4 years..

Being in the spanish, they always went to rediculous views on gatherings...one would say "going to the parks for gatherings was opening your way to bad association" So in this hall we would just go across town. And of course there was the weddings, anniversrys, congregation picnics, jw family (very little not witnesses) etc....As time went by large groups were discouraged, causeing feelings to be hurt, "of course with the direction of the "Faithfull and desceet and any elder that wanted to rid and keep the congregation clean of satanic influence. And of course you always had that certain brother, in many cases being the son of prominant elder and worked in the back in the book/magazine room who was a party animal which every one knew but did't cross that area because of his 'father' haveing alot of 'pull, influence, power unquestionably'.

Of course thru time I was Df'd, ( reasons unrelated to what I mentioned)

So I end up on the other side of the tracks...

I remember clearly my first gathering. A 'wordly party' (df'd and other of us heathens worldly or not) Totallly only groomed to JW gatherings, (remember the party word is not used

Anyway alcohol and drugs, the ladies all present and before the night was over there were fights I was totally shocked and my ***** was popped.

I can see the paradoxes of both.

i am a dfshipped person who is working towards reinstatement.. i would like to meet anyone else who also would like to return.. i really would prefer not to meet people who want to criticize my desire to return.

so continueing from previous....to those that are df'd wanting to return or not.

I don't question those that have no intention and those that have been through tragic unjust experiences that they loath JW's today and never have any intention of returning (reinstatment). Personally the things that have taken place make my stomach sick and don't blame there stand and actions they have taken.

And at the same time I'm not making a defence for the "organisation of JW's" , or for that against it. As many of us know dedicateing yourself to it will have its "costs" And in some cases as I've said before, quoting Mark Twain "Its easier to stay out then to get out".

JW's don't have the monoply on Bible. And they can't define CHRISTIANS as only too themselves.

I'm speaking mostly to df'd or ones that have seperated themselves not only from this organisation but especially the abandoning of the Bible and any belief in God or Christianity..

As a df't individual I for some time have continued building my faith and confidence in Jehovah and JESUS. At a very long period even with my faith building habits, PSYCOLOGICALLY I felt I wasn't a CHRISTIAN.... until after having that realization I mentioned previously, I now am alot more happier, assured now that Jesus coming means everything, it gives me the a real hope that JESUS does forgive.

And if you do sit in front of a re'instatement committee, you'll have a calm peace and whatever decisions they make, you still will be same and walk out of that hall knowing this is onlly a earthly formant yea or nah. and truly in the innermost part of you, YOUR ARE A CHRISTIAN, FOLLOWER OF CHRIST, A SLAVE OF THE MOST HIGH THAT NO HUMAN ENTITY CAN TAKE AWAY...

The 1st stint being disfellowshipped was a tragedy for me emotionally, mentally. Even though it sound like a contradiction, I enveloped my self in the dregs of this world that not even those who don,t believe in God would loath the lifestyle...And at the same time I loved God, his Word and the life of living as a "christian JW". All my life from youth up was raised as a JW...........................................................................................................................Ashamed, I lived the "worldly lifestyle" always in my most inner most self wanting to return. I believed that other than JW's there are no CHRISTIANS, the only way to study God's word was with JW'S because they had the monoply on the BIBLE.

Was reinstated...and to fast forward this, was df't a 3rd time. Having the experience I had, I sure didn't want nor was I going to return to that mire. I literally enveloped my interest and actually studied history, Art, philosophy..I genetically have always enjoyed reading so I opened myself to a world that I most probably would not even think of if I was still in the "organisation". And started a regular reading schedule of reading the Bible every year. And

realized I'm not "practiceing" what I got df'd for...Am still df'd but one day as I was in deep thought about this, seeing a beautiful sunrise realized I am a CRISTIAN A BELIEVER OF THE WORD. SO

SO A WORD OF ASSURANCE TO THOSE..................

FOR THE MOMENT WILL HAVE TO GO,BUT WILL SHARE MY REALIZATION....ON THE NEXT ENTRY.

My First Kingdom Hall Wedding

during our last "bible study" session with the elder and his wife, we were invited to attend a wedding of a dear and close 'brother' and 'sister' of thiers at their hall.

my wife made me where a suit .

the wedding overall was nice.

I was raised as one of Jehovahs witness all my life since 4 years old, Bethel 4 years and the majority of my family relatives except the ones that are going to suffer "hell and tarnation" at armageddon...not to mention these lost ones we see at family weddings and funerals. We stand at one end an they stand at another. The only ones of us that go extended to speak with them are the "weak ones" of us, that will certainly after words be spoken of are deviation into the "world of hell"...........................................................................................................................................................................................................anyway to just alittle history. Im dissfellowship, I dont think I spelled it right. but that doesnt matter to me one way or another...........................................Ive been to numerous weddings, of which Ive stood in 4, (something with that number 4) Ive seen couples 'blessed' by all and end up apart, Ive seen those that others think they shouldnt be togetther and make a great couplle. it comes in all aspect..........................................................................................whats alway botherd me is that there are the sames ones invited,, first of course family members, elders, those with that are stable in there eyes, popular ones.....and always there's always those overlooked, in most time its the 'needy', the ones that are' irregular'. and ones that are considered odd.....Ive been to weddings of those of the 'worldly persuasion' relatives or not....and have had the best times ever....restaints little less (open bar) and away from the formated music that jws review beforehand....not to say things can get out of hand , but oh well, no ones going to say anythings unless you empty the bar and tell your brother and brother to go to hell...of course afterwared your worldly relatives will only laugh but the jws will try to figure if a committee meeting should be set up and the whole circuit will mark you....to bad, itll only gaurrentee in the passing of the invitations they'll make sure they'll do it descreetly so as not to offend you..now you anxiously wait for a 'Worldly wedding' as you'll be on top of the list, because the non-jw ones know you like to have a great time, only quitly reminding you that wifes, aunts and cousins are off limit. and thats the way it is.

AND OF COURSE THERE ARE THOSE (NON WITNESSES) WHO TRY TO GET MATERIAL AID, OR HELP WITH THE RENT FROM THE JWS.

iM DF'D AND AS I WAS WALKING OUT OF THE HALL A DUMPY LOOKING COUPLE IN A CAR BARELY RUNNING APPROACH ME...i PRETTY MUCH NEW

WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN...IN OTHER WORDS THEY SHOULD OF GONE TO THE MORMONS OR SOME OTHER INSTUTION THAT PROVIDS AID.

LED THEM TO AN ELDER....THEY THANKED ME...IN MY MIND I SAID 'GOOD LUCK' IT AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN...REMEMBER THE HELP THEY GIVE IS SPIRITUAL ONLY TO NON-MEMBERS ...DF'D KEYNUMBER

Missionaries to vacate all missionary homes

latest news from a source (missionary in foreign land):.

no more missionary homes anywhere in the world.. all missionaries presently in missionary homes must vacate.

must get housing on your own / from the locals.. circuit and district overseers have moved into many of these former missionary homes.. reasons: liability, cost savings, real estate to be sold or used for other purposes.. needless to say, many of these longtime servants are very unsettled.

when or did they make the announcement in the congregations that missionary homes and GILEAD are being phase out?
