Excellent letter! They won't respond because everything you've put down in writing is sadly very true. How can they ever respond to it logically?! Hang in there, things will get better in time

kindness of Jw's
by d inwe got a call from a jehovah witness and they were willing to help shovel our drive way.
i find it strange how these jw's take an interest in our welfare.where as others could care less.
so i realize not all jw's are bad.if only more of them take a geuine interest in others they would not be so bad.

Everybody is different. There are those who aren't JW's who would help out their neighbor. It's all about character. JW's just like to think they are the only ones who will help out another person but that's so not true.

Governing Body's Doctrinal Errors Vs. Jesus Apostles' so called errors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit?
by I_love_Jeff inif the apostles were guided by the holy spirit, how could they have made any doctrinal errors as mentioned by many jehovah's witnesses?
the governing body has admitted to making doctrinal errors and state that " you might as well condem jesus' apostles as well since they too had made errors.
i have read that the apostles had only made behavior mistakes not errors in doctrinal writings.. "the new testament makes it abundantly clear that doctrinal error can lead to eternal damnation.. didache is a noun found thirty times in the new testament to mean doctrine, teaching.

Interesting.... I've asked the same questions many times to the witnesses I previously studied with and they always used the excuse that the apostles also made mistakes. I could never back up with any info since I didn't look into depth on that subject. Now, I've got plenty info to back up that they do not have Holy Spirit since they've made serious doctrinal changes/mistakes that the apostles obviously did not.

Blood Transfusion Increases Mortality in Heart Attacks
by Earnest ini understand that the objection to blood transfusions by jehovah's witnesses is purely a scriptural one.
whether or not there are medical benefits to avoiding blood transfusions is, or should be, irrelevant.
however, for those who are not convinced by jw understanding of the scriptures in this regard, and those who don't believe either in the bible and/or in god, the fact that blood transfusion is associated with increased mortality in heart attacks may be of interest.. a systematic search of studies published between january 1, 1966, and march 31, 2012, was conducted using medline, embase, cinahl, scopus, web of science, and cochrane central register of controlled trials databases.

I had a blood transfusion about 8 yrs ago and my heart is super healthy. I regularly get my cholesterol and bp checked. There are risks to everything in life. It doesn't mean we should be paranoid about it. The benefits in the long run outweigh the risks!
It's like saying I'm not going to drive today because there's a chance I may get into a car accident and die. We can't live life with that sort of mentality.

Thanks for sharing your story. Ive read many like yours and it just further proves how JW's do not show any Christian love like they proclaim to. Congrats on getting your whole family out! You've certainly made the right choice

Survey: Who here is an atheist? Who here still believes in God?
by Christ Alone ini just wanted to take a survey.
let's not let this get into the same old same old debate of atheism vs belief.
just respond with "atheist" or "believer" or "maybe god exists".
-
MsD
I believe there is a Creator. Do I believe the God of the Bible? I can't make that judgment right now. As I gain more knowledge and wisdom I think I'll be able to make that determination.
As for those who are atheists.... I actually used to loathe them. But now I can understand why some come to that conclusion especially those who are ex-JW.

My Bp is always at 110/70. Eat healthy and excercise. I was yelling at my husband because his is in the 130's.
I'm super careful since both my parents have history of hypertension. My mom has 3 stents in her heart and my dad had a stroke in 2011. I don't want to take any chances when it comes to that aspect of my health!

Coming to this forum to search for answers doesn't make you an apostate. If anything you are proving that your not naive and narrow minded like most JW's are when it comes to facing the truth about the truth!
