the nov 2013 km contains an article that is ridiculous in its level of minutae.. they focus on the word "because".
they tell jws to use the word "because" when explaining why they're at the homeowner's door.
writing department, you wrote an article on the use of the word "because"?

And this was preceded by a "Bible"(?) study that gave orders to the sheeple about how they couldn't really have God's favor, and were disrespectful of God unless they suited up with a suit and neck choking tie, drab mid-calf length dresses, short hair on men, and damned sure no facial hair! How they had to underline the parroted comments from the...Bible(?)...nope...the WT$ publications, or they didn't really love God!
What do they think people are? A bunch of low I.Q. third graders?
Try clicking on the email contact us link.
You will get absolutely nowhere. No email address will be provided, so yeah, no way do they want anything coming back to them. The entire web site is pretty cumbersome. It is not nearly as smooth and seamless as many other sites. But that is what one gets with unpaid volunteers who have followed the mandates not to get any higher education I guess.
I know this is not the quote you asked for, but the 09/15/2013 WT said this, "Because of our imperfect nature, we humans do not have the full ability to determine what is truly beneficial for us to guide our steps perfectly."
So "evidently", "apparently", it "stands to reason" that the GB is made up of perfect beings who have transcended being human. After all they have assumed to have the full ability to interpret the Bible, and to determine how over 7,000,000 mere mortal humans should live their lives day-to-day, and give orders on how to guide our steps that must be obeyed without question.
just a few observations about the material in yesterday's wt "study".. the wt informed people this week that as long as there is no clearly stated law from god we still cannot observe standards that are common in our area or that we were raised with, if we are christians.
the reason they gave?
as imperfect humans we don't have the ability to determine what is right or wrong.
I am sure there must be some sort of subtle difference between "determine" and "distinguish". After all ONE generation can now be great-grandpa, grandga, father, son, and the son's brand new baby. We imperfect humans will just have to patiently wait on "mother" to tell us what that difference is.
i just caught this in an upcoming study article which will be "studied" in the congregations the week of 11/18-24/13:.
he and his wife were elated when their eldest daughter, age ten, told them that she loved her parents, loved the brothers and sisters, and loved jehovah very much.
she said that she wanted to dedicate her life to jehovah and get baptized.
Hm...let's see...Jesus, the perfect son of God himself waited until he was thirty years old to make a dedication and get baptized. Does that mean the typical jw sheeple's brat is better than Jesus?

The WT informed people this week that as long as there is no clearly stated law from God we still cannot observe standards that are common in our area or that we were raised with, IF we are Christians. The reason they gave? As IMPERFECT humans we don't have the ability to determine what is right or wrong. Now I wonder how it could be possible then for the IMPERFECT HUMANS that make up the governing body to determine for us what is right or wrong? Are they implying they are now perfect? Are they implying that they have some kind of supernatural abilities not given to mere humans that enable them to somehow know how to guide us mere mortals?
Later they mentioned those who have a "disapproved mental state", including the term deceit. I wonder who might fit that description? Is there a group of people who have used false dates to deceive people into believing something that is not true? Is there a group who have tried to deceive others into believing that they as the same group have never misinformed their members?
And of course the article had to once again trot out the old worn out condamnation of entertainment, the internet, and getting a higher education. I wonder how many of those "volunteers" who are required to have engineering degrees in order to give away their time on the Warwick compound construction got those degrees without a higher education? I wonder how easy it is for bored, simple minded people to get the propaganda off jw.org without using that evil, satanic tool...the internet?
Finally towards the end the article said, "...we need to spend time thinking about what we are learning." At the same time any thinking is condemned if it doesn't match exactly what imperfect humans tell us to think!
Just a few thought and observations.

Just gave the story a quick read. I would have to throw out the B.S. flag on this persons story. It just doesn't have the "ring of truth" to it.
This woman sounds way to much like a simpering, whining, sniveling, demanding, needy drama queen. IMO. Likely thought up this story to try to salve her conscience for being a lousy wife, and get revenge on her long-suffering husband when he finally had enough of her and told her to GTFO. I knew an "elder" who's wife fit the sound of this woman to a tee. While I had little use for him as a professed JW I did feel a measure of sympathy for what he had to put up with.
at the congregation bible study this week, we as jehovahs witnesses studied a brochure on how we study the bible at the congregation bible study.
no wonder half of us are screwed up..
Next there will be a lesson on how to navigate through the new Bible. :)
Followed mostly by those using laptops and notebooks?

Yep, studying a brochure (ask questions and give canned answers) bragging about studying the Bible, and only cracking it open a couple times.
