  Do You Own A Firearm? Would You??

  2013 was a record breaking year for firearm purchases.

  2014 is supposed to be a record breaker for ammunition.. do you own a firearm?

  but i support that right for others---if they are qualified..

  I have owned many. I still own a pretty good selection for most uses.

  Hunting rifles with sufficient ammunition to "get ''r done".

  A selection of revolvers, again with plenty of ammo.

  And my favorite. . .a 1911 Colt semi-auto. I also have a CWP, I carry, and I have had very rare occasion to confront persons engaging in criminal behaviour. I would do it again if needed.

  My rules for firearm ownership/use: 1) Handle ALL guns as if they were loaded. 2) NEVER point a gun at something you don't intend to shoot. 3) Never threaten to shoot unless you are willing and able to DO IT! 4) Be prepared to live with the results of your firearm handling.

  I would much rather face judgement day having taken another's life to protect mine or a loved ones, than to face judgement day knowing I could have saved a loved one or myself.

  How Cold is it Where You Are?

  with the polar vortex swirling further and further south and breaking records how cold is it where you are?.

  here in gettysburg pa last night night we hit a low of -4 degrees but we were blessed with some wind that dropped the wind chill down to -22..

  It's so cold where I live the Kee-kee birds are out.

  Kee-kee-christ it cold! Actually it is so cold that you have to carry a propane torch with you to thaw your words out as you speak or others won't hear you until spring.

So you have a GREAT privilege when we visit your congregation, because it is the SAME THING as having Jesus visit you. So when we give you directions or counsel take it as it is, coming from Jehovah and Jesus."

  And here all along I thought they were imperfect men, like the rest of us. Silly me!

  so as i looked at the material i was struck by a few thoughts about this article.. par.

  6 glossed over the idea that we can pray for ourselves, or our needs.

  9-11 on one hand they say jesus did not harshly criticize peter or the apostles for falling asleep instead of praying continually, and on the other hand make veiled threats if we should feel tired out by life.

  Par. 6 Glossed over the idea that we can pray for ourselves, or our needs. Yes, but. . . seemed to be the atitude of the writer.

  Par. 9-11 On one hand they say Jesus did not harshly criticize Peter or the apostles for falling asleep instead of praying CONTINUALLY, and on the other hand make veiled threats if WE should feel tired out by life.

  Par. 13 So they say Satan is the one who wants us to feel worthless. What about the eldurrs who always yap about not spending enough money on the WTB&T$? What about the continual hounding about having to spend more time door knocking? What about the way they always flap their gums about not getting a reasonable education? Doesn't that ever make a person feel worthless?

  Par. 18 You MUST pray for others. But God likely won't do anything. Praying for others will make us happy. Again, it is all about giving, doing, more for the WTB&T$, not taking care of ourselves.

  Par. 17 Again the "the end is nearer than you think" saying. Yep. . .like the cartoon on another post. . . we are driving on a never-ending circle with a sign that says the end is just around the corner. . .their ain't no corner. . .and in the last two days two more of my elderly friends died thinking they were going to live forever!

  Just wanting clarification on the RBC

  i have been reading threads about how the rbc operates, so i sort of have a fair idea of what the answers will be.

  but i would like to have a more direct answer to my questions.. where do the orders come from that a hall is in need of a remodel, or a new one to be built.. can the elders refuse a remodel or quickly built.. out side contractors are only allowed with rbc approval.

  what are the consequences if say a kh needed a new roof, and secular contractor was hired.. is it a case that orders a given that a hall needs a remodel, and that the rbc will have total control, and look out for who ever gets in the way, and elders just have to simply comply.. this is the question i most want answered.

  The whole RBC is essentially run by a bunch of nobody douchebags with Napoleon complexes...

  Sounds like a former New Jersey guy who is in the Nebraska RBC last I heard. Goes by the handle of Frank S. What a pompous ass. I heard through friends up north that his wife shot-gunned herself into the "New World". Can't say as I blame her from what I heard about him!

  Where will the demons be during the Thousand Year Reign of Christ?

  The Bible does not explicitly answer this question. However, we can come to a logical conclusion about where the demons will. . . . These verses speak only of the abyssing of Satan. . . the demons are not mentioned, it stands to reason that. . . the glorified Jesus Christ. . . will do the same with the demons. . .

  Is it possible, though, that Revelation 20:1-3 does not mention the demons because they are destroyed at Armageddon along with the visible part of Satan’s seed? The Bible renders this possibility unlikely.

  Now here is where the reasoning gets pretty.....ahem....."logical".

  Concerning Satan’s final destiny, it states: “The Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet already were;

  Had the more powerful invisible spirit part of Satan’s seed been destroyed at Armageddon, the demons would surely have been mentioned as already being in that symbolic lake along with the wild beast and the false prophet. Their absence at Revelation 20:10 indicates that the demons are not destroyed at Armageddon. Revelation 20:1-3 speaks only of Satan’s being seized and hurled into the abyss of inactivity, we can logically conclude that his angels too will be bound and abyssed.

  So there it is. Great "logical" reasoning. . . again.On the one hand because they are not specifically mentioned they are included with Satan, and on the other hand because they are not specifically mentioned they CANNOT be included. So which is it?

  OT a bit: Posted above German concentration camps.

  "Arbeit Macht Frei" ("Work makes you free). Of course it was an attempt to calm the fears of the Jews and others who entered there so that they wouldn't realize that they were about to be executed.

  because: Jesus, as recorded in John 8:31,32: "--the truth will set you free--" and WT wants to keep it's slave slaving.

  Perhaps a new slogan for the WTB&T$ instead of the "Read God's Word The Bible Daily" should be:

  FREEDOM THROUGH SLAVERY.

  Glaring Mistake In RNWT And Todays WT

  todays' wt had this sentence in one of the paragraphs....we know this because each of their individual names are indelibly written upon the 12 foundation stones of the heavenly new jerusalem.rev.

  21:14.. the cross reference lists judas iscariot as one of the twelve.

  so with one breath they have said judas was cursed as jesus betrayer, and yet in their rnwt they still cross reference him in the list of the twelve named foundation stones of nj.

  Yes, I saw the word "faithful", and left it out intentionally.

  That is why Judas Iscariot, not to be confused with the other Judas, is said to have been judged worthy of the "second death". However, the choice by lots of Matthias raises some questions. Did the apostles pray before casting lots? If so does that indicate that HS was involved? If God's HS was involved then why the need to choose Saul? Did HS make a mistake, like in the appointment of some eldurrs today? If there are only twelve foundation stones which of the thirteen faithful apostles is thrown to the curb? It seems to me that every time the WTB&T$ says one thing it raises three or four more questions.

  As to the generation cross reference it is (Matthew 23: 36). . . "Truly I say to YOU, All these things will come upon this generation."

  The cross reference is to (Exodus 20:5). . .You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers (ONE generation) upon sons (SECOND generation), upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation, in the case of those who hate me. . .

  That indicated in their NWT that a generation was exactly that ONE generation. In their RNWT that cross reference has been deleted. Can't have intelligent, thinking people finding that, now can they? Soon it will be forgotten and the new two overlapping, soon to be three generation explanation will be all that will be known.
