march 20, 2014. we are pleased to inform you of a significant decision made by the governing body that will affect the work of traveling overseers worldwide.
It will be interesting to see how they are received as they tumble back down to the level of those they have previously abused and humiliated.
I remember a wise businessman saying one time, "You should ALWAYS be kind to those you pass on the way up the corporate ladder, because they are the ones you WILL pass on your way back down!"
These guys never had to learn that, but now they will!

Some aspects of their work will now be cared for by experienced circuit overseers and Bethel representatives.
And what about the other aspects? Were those aspects of their "work" useless?
This...will mean that many...will be...serving once again as circuit overseers.
So does that mean MORE circuit oversneers, or are some of them going to be getting the boot to the curb now?

a number of years ago in a congregation i once was in there was a wealthy businessman in the congregation.
he made sure that all of the elders had annual vacations overseas or to the tropics paid for by himself.

Interesting, yes. One time he told me that as a single person I should just hire the services of a prostitute, and then call the elders, claim weakness, make a large contribution to the congregation, and everything would be all right. Sickening! I have much more self-respect, and self-integrity than that.
so i faded over a year ago...i told the elders that if i needed them i would call them.
1 year and 3 months later, today, i get a call from an elder who used to be my good friend...he calls and i dont pick up..he leaves a voicemail, saying "hello ____, please call me back at 444-444-4444 whenever you can".
i was like wow, this has to be one of those calls to get inactive ones back to the memorial.
"Hello ____, please call me back at 444-444-4444 whenever you can".
That is the telephone version of "Brother/Sister_________, may I speak to you in the library for a moment?"

Happened where I lived too.
Braggart business owner employed all the eldurrs in the congregation. Embezzled from his business, dodged taxes (got caught three times), stole materials from customers, falsified records to avoid paying un-employment, cheated on two jW wives, habitual drunkard, He and his kids were chronic liars, and yet nothing done because every time the announcement was made that the congregation was short on funds he would cut a big check, from the business account and, "Have to pay for all the bills. Because those lazy sons-of-bitches won't!"
He is now appointed! Imagine that!
last night i was watching the secret elder's video about the jw who sleeps with a worldly women and i could not stop laughing.. when i was 17 i thought that all worldly women would sleep with anyone, i remember a beautiful neighbor who i tried to kiss and she just flat out said no.
i tried twice to make out with this girl and i just could not understand why she would not say yes .
she did not have an aquarium.... .
"Worldly men" are surprised when they figure out that the women who smile at them, do not "want them bad".
Sounds like a JW in the Dallas area. Chased anything without a penis. Could never get it through the idiots head that just because a woman smiled it didn't automatically mean they wanted to do the mattress mambo. It was downright disgusting to listen to this "exemplary" brother graphically describing what every woman who had ever smiled wanted to do to him. Pot gut, bald head, false teeth and he figured that just like the WT claimed, all woman were after a good stuffing with anyone, anytime.
it seems that in my neck of the woods there is no social interaction between jws outisde of fs and the kh.
the last get together was 3 summers ago.
other than that there is no bond.
Um...beach volleyball, but the women all had to wear skirts and high neck blouses. The men had to wear trousers and polo shirts. And don't forget the approved brown wing-tip lace up shoes for the men, andlow heels for the women.
Then there was the softball game, suits and ties.
But just to make sure everyone had a spiritual good time there were the Bible games, and much singing of Kingdom melodies.
Thank goodness there are no more of these kinds of gatherings. And I sure as Hades wouldn't go if there were. I'd rather jab myself in the eye with a sharp stick.

Maybe the nu-lite this summer will be a name change? Perhaps Pavlov's Witnesses?

It does seem a bit ambiguous, maybe they are trying to say no handicapped people without actually saying it.
Exactly! This is a direct quote from the BOE letter dated 31 July 2014:
For those wishing to apply for one of the 2014/2015 international conventions.....All aplicants should be in good health and not in need of the assistance of someone else nor be dependent on a wheelchair, and oxygen supply, or similar health-realted devices.
While that letter may have been written about foriegn land conventions it was stressed at the KH I show up at that no one in poorer health would be considered. So yes, it is the WT$ policy, and yes it is in print.

Perhaps a new update of the Organization book? Naw, that would have to be at the new, special, one day assembly...the annual meeting. That way only "special" baptized, approved ones get one. The last update was handed out after a Sunday meeting years ago. I was travelling at the time (yeah I know JW's aren't supposed to ever travel) and the presiding oversneer in that town (he's in central Arizona. so watch your backs) told me if I had really wanted to get one I would have cancelled my travel plans. I didn't get one for nearly six months, and then only because a friend snuck it to me.
