  Poster country flags and privacy

  the new forum originally had a little country flag next to each post showing the country that the post was made from based on the geoip encoding (the country the ip address is from).

  before i switched over to the new site someone made an issue about it violating their privacy and i didn't want to complicate and confuse the switchover with policy debate at the same time as technical issues so removed the flags even though i disagreed.. someone has already requested it as a feature and i think it should be added back so i thought it's now time to open the discussion and get everyone's opinions.

  first, the reason i think it should be shown:.

   why not raise the bar and make it more difficult for them

  Certainly, let's all try to make things more difficult in any way we can. Already there are FIVE steps to even get logged on to this site. Perhaps along with adding information that makes it EASIER for some snoop to determine who may be here eight of ten more login steps could be added?

  Sheesh, I thought I got off the JW style treadmill!

  yes- everyone has faults and makes mistakes; an organization even more so.. yet, you ignore all the fingers pointing at you.. many here have no faith.

  many here go to churches who lie about everything biblical; look at x-mas!.

  but at least we know god and christ and try to live up to their name!.

  I wasn't going to post anything, but this statement was just to good to pass up! It would appear that some infantile Jdubber got a new tablet and cannot resist playing with it's new toy. Ignore the troll and it will go away and play with itself.

  Recommended Lodging List

  just a few instructions orders from mother about motels.. please use only hotels that appear on the recommended lodging list.

  (one page, with only one motel locally).

  one nights deposit (credit card, money order, etc.,) is required, and should be sent to the hotel within ten days of making your reservation.

  One night’s deposit (credit card, money order, etc.,) is REQUIRED, and should be sent to the hotel within TEN DAYS of making your reservation.       (Payment in advance for the ONE night that might be needed for the now only one day CA)

  The circuit or the Society is not responsible for any problems, mistakes, or difficulties that may arise, inasmuch as your arrangements will be made directly with the hotel.        (So you are told what motel you can use, but any problems are not in any way to be laid at the doorstep of the WT&T$)

  You mean like the schools, movie theatres, military bases? It's strange that those are the places most likely to be the location of INTENTIONAL criminal shootings.

   I believe you stated the facts most sensibly. As a patriotic, legal, American citizen who owns firearms, is a permitted CCW holder with a clean criminal background check, am not living in paranoid fear, hunts for my meat, I can also state that your are 100% correct in your above comment.

   In fact, how many gun shooting sprees are ever stopped by an armed bystander?

  Here are about twenty to start with. I wouldn't expect most people to agree though, just as typical JW's will never agree to anything critical of their convictions, regardless of any facts presented.

  Not sure what that has to do with gun rights. For every crazy idiotic moron with a gun there are 10 thousand responsible ones. But you don't hear about those.

  That is the crux of the matter. IF the facts about all the safe, sane, responsible firearm owners were presented with the same level of persistence as the stories that portray firearms in a negative light there may be fewer frightened people. A firearm is nothing more than a tool. Like a chain saw it does nothing just sitting there. It is only when used that it has results, and improper use is dangerous, but used properly at the right time, and in the right manner any firearm is good.  Of all the numerous firearms I own NOT ONE has ever hurt or killed a person. . .EVER!

  I noticed too that the SM part said the eldurrs took the lead by ASSIGNING hospitality for the Sunday speaker. MW dictionary defines hospitable this way:   given to generous and cordial reception of guests. That is 180 degrees from having to be assigned.

  As far as those arrogant "spirit appointed" men who still drag their suitcase to the hall and park it in the walkway as a tripping hazard, that is done purely for show, as they then pull out their new electronic gadget for the entire meeting. They cannot even be bothered to crack open a Bible!  So much for the claim to be students of the Bible!

  a lady walks into harrods.

  she looks around, spots a beautiful diamond bracelet and walks over to inspect it.

  as she bends over to look more closely, she unexpectedly farts.very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone noticed her little woops and prays that a sales person was not anywhere near.as she turns around, her worst nightmare materializes in the form of a salesman standing right behind her good looking as well.cool as a cucumber, he displays all of the qualities one would expect of a professional in a store like harrods.he politely greets the lady with, good day, madam.

  For some reason this joke reminds me of many of the JW teachings.

  Three old men were walking down the railroad tracks when the 1st man asked the 3rd man, "Did you poop your pants?" The man replied, "No."

  So they walked on and eventually the second man smelled it too, so he said, "Are you sure you didnt crap your pants?" The third man again said, "Im positive I didnt crap my pants!"

  So they walked on longer. Finally it smelled so bad they pulled his pants down and said, "HEY! We thought you said you didnt crap your pants." The man looked at them and replied, "OH! I thought you meant today!"
