A couple of Jehovah Witness stumpers! Add some if you like
by TheNurseInBlack inthese are some questions that i ask the jehovah witnesses.
i hope you find them useful .
disclaimer: these are questions i found on the iternet and from other sources of research.

Those are not stumpers.
The answer for #1 is easy. There will be many besides active baptized JWs that will be saved. But if that is taught to the congregations, where will the incentive for the many to go out there to bring people in to save them?
#2 dont' care enough.
#3 Same as #2
#4. If there is only one political party, then it is not a party. It is government policy.
#5 is answered in the Watchtower library.
#6 There is a difference between worship and honor. Worship is given according to one's worth. Jesus does not get as much worth as Jehovah so he is not worshipped. Those who do not understand that find that hard to grasp because they focus too much on Jesus as God.

About the 16 pg mags
by pontoon injust flipped through the feb awake and the feb 1 public wat.
first time since they went to 16 pages.
my first impression was the large amount of blank space in both mags, really wasted space.

It's just like everything else. A smaller product is ntroduced such as 8 oz cans of soda. Then they raise the price of that to what the 12 oz cans are. People don't notice.
People will continue to contribute the same for the 16 page mags as for the 32 and they get a winfall.

Making the congregations pay for invitation printing
by Rattigan350 inthe memorial and district convention invitations have a space for each congregtion to put their local information on them.. the congregations then have to foot the bill, many times it is the service overseer personally, for the printing on them.. some print labels and the congregation puts them on, others print with their laser printer and wear them out.. at first the paper was so poor that the particles would destroy laster printers and make a dust storm.
commercial printers hated that paper.. the society should have a variable data printing system since they know the times of the memorial and convention for each congregation and they should print that while they print the initial invitation.. think if it, 12,000 congregations in the usa multipled by $50 on average cost to print or label each congregation's amounts to $600,000.
do that twice a year for 7 years and that is $8.4 million dollars.

What a waste of money for the congregations and they get nothing for it.

The bad part about it is that I will get less when I take the older magazines to recycling as they pay by the pound.

Worship at the meetings(TM)....REALLY??
by punkofnice inthere were times when i was a jw that i asked myself :.
'what constitustes actual worship at the meetings?'.
it got to a point where the only worship i could see was a sycophantic arse licking of the governing body.. i found nothing at the meetings(tm) were actually anything like worshipping god.. .

Amelia - JWs have the watchtower(R) logo to worship.
Did you notice on the 12/15/12 W page 12 that the boy was reading the Bible from the speaker stand that had a watchtower symbol.
Weren't they supposed to not use those in the Kingdom Halls?

What I did when my wife was gone was to just get there 10 min early and mingle then when it starts, leave then I can tell people I was there as I talked to several.
Or at the meetings for field service, just say you have a study or prior arrangements, of if anyone needs a car group, don't raise your hand.

Let's not go overboard here. The JWs do have correct doctrine. the problem is that the organization is going in a self-serving direction.
The focus is on the organization. The publishers are pushed to be delivery people of the literature and to get bible studies so that people can come to the meetings and be donators so that revenues can continue.
As far as "was a JW, and then became a Christian " goes, since JWs are Christians but pharasical ones, that statement would not apply. It is just a matter of them being self serving in their focus or agenda.
Why do people need any religion? What has religion done for mankind? It is just people doing things with or for each other using God as a focal point.

I finally told my parents
by nolongerconfused inso as some of you already may know, i have stopped going to meetings for good and have nothing to do with wbts anymore...did not write a letter of disassociation because i dont believe an organization should spiritually execute me for rejecting men's tradition and false doctrine...some of you may recall i spoke to my wife and are in good terms, even though she's still an active jw.
my parents are both active jw's...when i visited them yesterday, they clearly did not expect me to tell them i had left the "org"...to my huge surprise, after i explained to them i had found ttatt (truth about the truth) and gave compelling evidence of my reasoning, and using the scriptures, they totally sided with me...i was dumbfounded...one of my parents even brought up ray franz and his book coc....i was like wtf??.
they told me all of these years they never had the guts to say anything about the hypocrisy in this org and they were glad that i as their son was able to step up and believe what is right and what is on the bible...they re-assured their love to me and they were happy i had found happiness in jesus christ and the need to have a personal relationship with him and not through a man made organization.... i totally did not expect this response from my parents...but it just leaves me to think that there are thousands of active jw's out there feeling the same way and don't have the courage to step up to the org...still don't know what they are going to do, but i got the feeling they will do the same eventually and move on from the wbts.... have a great week everyone.

The problem with the above is that there is not a problem with WT teachings and doctrines.
The problem is with the direction that the organization is going with them.
The organization is all about the organization, and no care or consideration is given to the people within.
You said " I have stopped going to meetings for good ". Has anyone asked Why?
I dont' think so. They just invite you to meetings and field service and beat you with scripture.
