Blood Fractions
by alice.in.wonderland insomeone is pressing me about blood fractions on an unrelated thread, so i just moved the topic to an appropriate location.. "the point for me in every thread you touch is your sickening dishonesty and nauseating apologies for the old men in brooklyn who tell you what to do.. they have told you that products made from blood don't use blood, and you are so corrupt and gullible you just accept it.".
i accept any bible-based religion that adheres to the bible as its authority.. the purpose of this magazine, the watchtower, is to honor jehovah god, the supreme ruler of the universe.
just as watchtowers in ancient times enabled a person to observe developments from afar, so this magazine shows us the significance of world events in the light of bible prophecies.

I don't see the controversy here.
They stated that the 4 main components are not to be transfused from one person to another. Ok, fine.
Except that this thing called plasma is not a component of blood, it is a substance that comes from the circulatory system that suspends the other components. It is 93% water. Water is water. Urine is 95% water. The difference between plasma and urine is just the levels of proteins, salts, minerals and other stuff.
As for storing it, in bible times they had no separation or refrigeration. When it was drained from the animal, if it was kept in a container, then it was dry out and rot. Now there is refrigeration to prevent that.
Those fractions are not red blood cells, white blood cells or platelets so they would not be prohibited to be given or taken from others.

Blood Components Hypocrsy
by pandorasbox1914 inwe all know the watchtower's stance on blood:.
blood components, plasma, red cells, white cells and platelets-no.
fractions-your bible trained conscience.

"I believe there are plasma donation centers that specialize in plasma protein therapies where virtually all of the donated plasma is separated into components JWs can accept transfusion of, which means JWs could theoretically donate to these centers given assurance that their donation would be used for this purpose."
At plasma donation centers, they separate the plasma out and that is 93% water and 7% the proteins and other stuff. Then the proteins and stuff they want to harvest is kept and the water is thrown out. Nothing wrong with that. Infact that is the same thing that the kidneys do. It pulls water and other stuff out of the circulatory system. Why do they not have a fit about urine collection?

Plasma is not a component of blood. It is a component of the circulatory system. It is the liquid that suspends the red cells, the white cells and the platelets. In olden times all that they knew was blood so they called everything blood. But since it is 93% water, then extracting plasma is no different than what the kidneys do in extracting water and other substances from the circulatory system.

Films with nudity
by neat blue dog ini guess every jw has a different conscience on the matter, and i don't believe any jw publications have ever specifically mentioned nudity in film as being off limits.
of course genitals are out of the question because that's usually relegated to r movies which most good jws don't view.
female toplessness is condoned but not spoken about, as most jws i know have seen titanic and many own it.

I don't know of other JWs who have watched Game of Thrones.

King of The North: circular news top?
by Gorbatchov infriends,.
with the circular speading of my satire tread about the annual meeting on many different ways, even informal across the jw organization, i'm pretty sure that the news about russia (new king of the north) is not real.. there was a moment i thought that it was a coïncidence that incoming messages mentioned it also.. now i suppose it started all with my op, went trending through the organization (even through bethel belgium) and became a story on it's own.. this is not realy my style and i'm not proud of it.. g..

Russia=King of the North, USA=King of the South? New info coming in from Annual Meeting 2018
by Jules Saturn init was announced in this year’s annual meeting that they believe that the king of the north is russia and the king of the south is us/britain.
for me this is the first time hearing from the society actually identifying the identity of the king of the north.
very interesting times!

Since the end of WWII it has been Russia- USSR. But in 1993 they were unsure if it could be Russia anymore in the Daniel book. but I've always felt that it was still Russia. If now they are saying it is Russia, nothing changed. It has always been Russia and never China as KoN and US as the KoS.

How many here think Trump's news conference this evening was absolutely brilliant
by ShirleyW ini'm being serious, i would like to hear from folks here that support him describe to me how that news conference was absolute brilliance, he answered all the questions, he knows what he is talking about.
just want to compare note with those who aren't his supporters (and have common sense) as you know this forum is here to hear both sides, so, have at it .

I'm referring to the right for interracial marriages, the right to choose not to stand for the Pledge, the right to choose your own birth control, the right for consenting adults to do what they want in their own privacy, and even, sigh, the right for gays to marry. Were any of those entitlements? Or things for which the government should stay out of people's lives?Normally I'm against conservative justices as liberal ones give us more rights.
I think you are confusing “rights” and “entitlements”.

"Has anyone told you that this isn't a biblical trial? It's not even a religious one."God gave standards of evidence for a reason. Because people are not truthful and false conclusion can be drawn. That is an example that should be followed.

In the past I thought Trump was crazy. He's got his mind set on thing but the wrong things.
Normally I'm against conservative justices as liberal ones give us more rights.
I was against Kavanaugh's confirmation initially. But when these accusations came out and all the metoo and the jumping to conclusions and name calling, I'm now supporting him. I feel sorry for him.
Why weren't these brought out when he was appointed a judge and to the COA?
This is a violation of the 9th commandment. Coming out 36 years later is bearing false witness, because it is no longer the same person.
And this is why there is a two witness rule. But the witnesses have to be credible. None of these are.
I'll be watching the hearings tomorrow.
