  hi everyone, i got the news that the lawsuit against the watchtower for the child abuse issue has been accepted in quebec(canada).

  that means it can proceed further.

  it is a first victory.

  And what would this have to do with being responsible for abuse? People need to be careful and protect themselves regardless. Blaming them takes that responsibility off of the individuals.

  Why was there only one witness to the abuse?

  The religion, like most others, teach against child abuse. Any abuse done is because individuals go against those teachings. This two witness rule is to promote truth in accusations. Seeking that truth does not make them responsible.

  If the card goes away, it will be because of privacy laws such as some countries they can't keep territory records.

  If reporting hours goes away, it will be because Jesus said to give your gift in private and not to make a showy display for honors.

  Anyone every heard anything about your own blood?

  i was wondering if there was any policy from the cult about your own blood in you cut your finger and put it in your mouth out of reflex ect.

  what if any is the position of this?

  i always thought the amount of blood is not the real issue, even a drop would be a sin?.

  the may 2019 wt has defiantly and arrogantly been released by the gb, and it is full of their disgusting excuses for not complying with authorities!.

  (i have seen and read all the articles, but cant work out how to upload a link here - perhaps someone can assist?).

  With all the hate for the 2 witness rule, why can't anyone explain why it is bad?

  Jehovah put that in the Law along with the 9th commandment because he knew that humans both lie to hurt others and make mistakes in their facts, which hurt others.

  And that is not limited to the Bible.

  In criminal law Blackstone's ratio is the idea that:

  It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer.

  John Adams also expanded upon the rationale behind Blackstone's Ratio when he stated:

  It is of more importance to the community that innocence should be protected, than it is, that guilt should be punished; for guilt and crimes are so frequent in this world, that all of them cannot be punished....when innocence itself, is brought to the bar and condemned, especially to die, the subject will exclaim, 'it is immaterial to me whether I behave well or ill, for virtue itself is no security.' And if such a sentiment as this were to take hold in the mind of the subject that would be the end of all security whatsoever

  As he said, what is the point of being a good person if the accusation of one person can ruin everything?

  Not One JW Ever Actually Dies "In the Truth"

  just a thought and perhaps this has been discussed before but no jehovah's witness ever actually dies in the truth.

  pick a year, any year.

  if a jw died in say 1920 or 2020 or whatever...the doctrines change so much and so fast that what is "truth" today is "untruth" the next within this religion.

  You are soo off in this topic. The Truth is not and has never been about doctrine and their being static. The truth is a way of life. As the song 'Make The Truth Your Own' says "The Way of the Truth". It is a way, not doctrine. And people aren't disfellowshipped for what they believe.

  I believe that Russia is the KoN and that in the preRussell doctrine that Jerusalem was destroyed in 587 but the Gentile Times began in 607.
