I like Bibleexaminer's idea to write to them to ask them to continue the ban and show support for it.

Russia and the letter writing
by Listener inthis is the whole of the instructions that the watchtower gave jws when writing to russian officials -.
content • you are writing to the official to request his intervention.
express the hope that the russian authorities will stop the legal action being taken against the branch office and the congregations in russia so that our brothers and sisters can continue to gather peacefully for christian meetings without interference.

the-question (607 BCE explained and proved)

JWs are correct about 607 and 1914. Somewhat. The theory behind it is that Jehovah told David that his offspring would sit on Jehovah's throne forever culminating in Jesus. But when Jesus was on earth he didn't become king. Infact at that time, David's offspring were no longer in power on Jehovah's throne. Did Jehovah's statement fail?
No, it was paused. The kings in the line of David lost power when they became subject to another government. That happened in 607. In 587 Jerusalem was destroyed. 11 years prior, in 598, Zedekiah became king. 11 years and months prior to that in 610, Jehoiakim became king. Daniel said that 3 years after that, 607, captives were taken. Thus 607 is when the kings in the line of David lost sovereignty for 2520 years until 1914 when Jesus became king.

New light in this weeks WT?
by Indian Larry inanybody have any ideas where they are going with the "new light" they have been pushing last week and this week?
for instance in this weeks study article one section reads:.
in years gone by, we believed that jehovah became displeased with his people because they did not have a zealous share in the preaching work during world war i. we concluded that for this reason, jehovah allowed babylon the great to take them captive for a short time.

That's not new light. I never believed that they went into captivity during 1914-1918.

If Abraham had gone to Kingdom of Heaven, why not John the Baptist?
by anointed1 injesus rated john the baptist as the greatest “among those born of women” (luke 7:28) hence after his death he should naturally go to heaven—especially so lesser ones like enoch, abraham are already in the kingdom of heaven.
(hebrews 11: 5, 6; 13-16).
in view of the direct statement of jesus: “i say to you that many will come from the east and the west to share the banquet with abraham, isaac, and jacob in the kingdom of heaven” (mathew 8:11), people like abraham are definitely in heaven.

"All of these died in faith without having received the promises, but from a distance they saw and greeted them."
The promise to them was never heaven.
But the problem with this belief in heaven is - why hasn't anyone who is in heaven contacted the people on earth?

Did the flood happen?
by BlackWolf inso we were talking about noah for our family worship tonight and it ended with a little debate between me and my parents about how the flood was possible.
you know, where did the water come from, how did all the animals fit, etc.
of course it led nowhere and my parents came up with some strange theories like that there was "an expanse of water in the sky" and that's where all the water came from.

Debating With Evolution Deniers is Just Like This
by cofty inarguing with those who reject scientific evidence can be like arguing about football; just as angry and passionate, but the goalposts keep moving, and one team doesn't exist.. read more here....

Comfy said "Rattigan if you are aware of even one single shred of scientific evidence for creationism please share it."
I don't know what creationism is. But Creation supports science. Male and female is from creation and evolution can not produce different sexes. Evolution is a product of random mutation. Sex parts that fit together and can not work without the other is not mutation, it is design.
"By the way how are you defining "God"?""
God should be better than human designers because he has more power. Humans make computers, cars and other products year after year that are better than the previous. We learn and don't just make and leave it.

The same one that controlled the Nazis and the US, the people.
The people had the power to tell Hitler to suck an egg, but they chose not to.
The people have the power to tell Obama to take Obamacare and shove it, but they choose not to, but they choose to follow it.
The people have the power to tell the GB to shove it, but they don't want to, they want to follow them.

The original post makes no sense.
"who reject scientific evidence". What does that mean?
Scientific evidence supports creation. The problem is that after creation God neglected his creation and allowed creation to be flawed and he didn't fix it or do upgrades.

"This year I've bought and read Frankenstein (Mary Shelly), Dracula (Bram Stoker), The Hound of the Baskervilles (A. Conan Doyle), 'Salem's Lot (Stephen King), Jurassic Park (Michael Crichton) and The Firm (John Grisham)."
I recently obtained several classic novels and a book rack from a moving sale. I set up the book rack and books. My wife saw that one of the books is Stoker's Dracula and she got upset and said that she is uncomfortable with it because he drinks blood. It just makes me mad that she let's the cult influence her. Things like this have made our marriage fail.
