instead, they say, "i am one of jehovah's witnesses.".

what does the second way of saying it convey that the first does not?.

at the 2018-2019 be bold circult assembly yesterday.

yes, curcult, change the i to an l. because when they have 2 demonstrations about youths not going to university and another talk says for adults at work to be bold and refuse birthday treats being given away, it shows so much pettiness and lack of real concern for the people.. i was actually looking forward to the ca because a week before tornadoes went through our circuit and passed 2 miles by a kingdom hall and less than 1 mile by another that had meetings that afternoon.

i was expecting the circult overseer to give a report on it.

I was actually looking forward to the CA because a week before tornadoes went through our circuit and passed 2 miles by a Kingdom Hall and less than 1 mile by another that had meetings that afternoon. I was expecting the Circult overseer to give a report on it. But NO. Nothing was said other than the opening prayer. It was just the scripted ministry encouragement. The president of the USA came out to visit the area, but the elders didn't even reach out asking about well being nor the Circuit overseer. Many local and far away churches assisted in the disaster relief. I didn't see any Witnesses (other than me) volunteering. But if the Regional Building committee directed something, then they would be all out there. But to just help their neighbors...

Another interested part was the accounts report. There was $10,000 in expenses and those expenses were split between the maintenance and repairs of the assembly hall and for all of the assembly halls in the world. That's a new one to me. Has anyone else heard this? When they read this they had a deficiet of $4000.

I never liked the expression "I'm a Jehovah's Witness". It just does not have the flow to it.

"I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses" has always been a better way of saying Christianity is a group activity.

Though I don't know why there is a difference between "I'm a Christian" and "I'm a Jehovah's Witness".

they say there is another more high profile person who also got busted.. does this stuff upset you that some men have gone into a massage parlor for possibly more than a massage?

I'm one of those that is stuck in the middle. While I don't like many things in the JWs, such as how they direct people's life outside the religion, shunning, blood, I do believe that the religion is the correct one according to the Bible. But I am against this apostate movement. That is the jumping on the bandwagon and being all AntiJW and coming up with these crazy reasons (child abuse, UN NGO things that were never taught in the religion) just because they don't like the meetings and field service. I don't like meetings and FS either but it is a religion and that is what religionists do.

I realize that this whole child abuse issues exists because it is easy to use against the Watchtower. So it addresses no truth in the matter. It is a red herring.

Those two men previously testified that Michael did nothing wrong. Now they are saying that they were pressured to say that and MJ molested and abused them.

i was hoping to get some advice on what to say to a parent who wouldn’t support you to get married to a “worldy person”.

always bringing up “marry only in the lord” even when that hasnt worked out for the parent, twice divorced lol.

is there a way to discredit that scripture or argue back respectfully without giving away that you are pimo?.

Ok, Ok,. Just why do they know that the other person is not a Witness? Just tell them that he or she goes to a different congregation and get married by a judge. Unless of course the person looks weird such as wearing a beard or piercings, in which case you shouldn't be getting married to that one.

False Predictions

1. that jesus would return by 1874. when jesus failed to appear, the witnesses claimedthat it was an unseen, spiritual return.

They have made no false prophesies as they are not prophets and studying the Bible and calculating dates is not prophesying.

And just because one or a few teachers did that in the past does not make it right to label JWs as having made false predictions.

So yes, when JWs come to your door, they have the truth. Because truth is not about having all the understandings about the future.
