Why would 1914 change? The only thing that can change is stating that we don't have the exact date of the start or end. It is not as Russell presented it, Oct 1st. He thought that God waited on a calendar.

That's not true. That's not what Christians are warned not to do.
Rev 22:18 says " “I am bearing witness to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll; and if anyone takes anything away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take his portion away from the trees of life and out of the holy city, things that are written about in this scroll."
It is specifically about the scroll of the prophesy.

When JW.org drops 607BCE...
by Nathan Natas inprobably everyone else thought of this long ago, but i, being an "independent thunker" thunk of it just a coupla weeks ago.. we all know that since the year zero (on the fredfranzian calendar) the wtb&ts has defied archaeology and insisted that jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bce, even though the physical evidence shows that 587 bce is a more likely date.
in fact, the book "the gentile times reconsidered: have jehovah's witnesses been wrong all along about 607 bce?
" by carl olof jonsson and rud persson made this conversation public.. it is a difference of 20 years.

Not true at all.
Sam Herd was born in 1934 and he is the oldest of the governing body so the governing body could not have been chosen in 1919.
In case you didn't know the GB of today is not the same as the one in the 80s and 70s. Prior it was the board of directors of the WTBTS.
Jesus didn't choose a Governing body or a board of directors. He observed people back in the early 1800s that were searching for truth in the scriptures. They searched chronology. Brown, Clinton, Bowen, Elliott, Barbour and Russell, Jesus saw them going in the right direction and observed and aided them. The GB doesn't need credibility because of 1919. 1919 was from that convention that they had then not because of chronology.
You all do know that the start of the gentile times is not based on the destruction of Jerusalem, as that was in 587. It was 20 years prior, in around 607. We don't know the exact event or dated that triggered the banding of the tree, stating that Russell was offbase for saying Oct 1, 1914 was the end,, but it is around that time.

The whole convention is focused on Jesus birth and childhood. Episode 1 is pretty good. The actors and sets and narration is pretty good. And it is good that they are talking about Jesus, so don't knock it.

The trinity is a man-made doctrine to take focus and worship away from Jehovah and put it on others that they won't object to.
People say they look to Jesus as being God because of John 1:1. That was written 65 years after Jesus died. What did they believe prior to that? Nothing was said in Acts about trinity or Jesus being God. Infact the opposite. Stephen saw Jesus at God's right hand, not a 3 person God.
The support texts are taken out of context: I and the father are one. Come on, that is contra trinity but they use it.
They rely on Jesus' enemies to get definitions of Jesus such as Thomas statement and the Pharisees.
They say John 8:58 is connected to Ex 3:14. Some pastor made that connection sometime in the past, but why didn't the apostles make that connection?
The trinity has spurious texts added such as 1 Tim 3:16, 1 john 5;7; Matt 28:19.

for myself i find reddit to be sadly lacking in the jw world.
i just don't find the depth there e.g one sentence replies, trying to be funny.
