KerryKing,
The reason that Jesus died was to fulfill the prophesies.
i would suggest:.
the short answer is yes.. the longer answer is a qualified yes, with some caveats.
the short answer is yes because jehovah’s witnesses teach that jesus is michael the archangel, their leader, eldest and most powerful, and have taught this since the very beginning of the religion.

"I am more and more convinced that JWs do not believe the Bible.
Acts 2: 38-39 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins"
You are correct. Matt 28:19 says to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy spirit. But just 10 days later Peter was saying to baptize in the name of Jesus and he left off the Father and holy spirit. So I don't believe that Matt 28:19 says to baptize in the trinity.

"JW have as much of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as they do with the angel Gabriel.
Imagine not even being able to say "Thank you Jesus for dying for my sins""
Why would we want a personal relationship with Jesus? He is our high priest. Did the Israelites have a personal relationship with the high priests? No? They just brought the sacrifices to him so he could do his job.
Why would we thank him for dying for our sins? as that is not why he died.

Why is Jesus being Michael the archangel even a subject that comes up?
It's one of those givens.
Gen 3:15 says the seed will crush the serpent which is the devil. The seed is Jesus.
Jesus said in John 14:2 "for I am going my way to prepare a place for you"
His going to prepare a place was his casting out Satan and his demons.
Jesus did the things stated in Rev 12:7-9 Battled with the dragon/devil and cast him out.
Four names are used for the devil in there, dragon, original serpent, devil and Satan.
Did it need to explain that this Michael was Jesus?
If Michael is not Jesus, why is someone else doing what Jesus said he would do, (prepare a place for his apostles) and battle and crush the devil?
a very certain distinctive of jws is how they refer to themselves.
"one of jehovah's witnesses".
it's one of those coded jargon thingies.
Jeffro said:
Everyone says 'One of Jehovah's Witnesses' because it sounds right.
"This suggests you live in a JW bubble."
No, it does not. It suggests that I like what sounds right. I am not 'a' anything. Israel was a people, Christians are a people. not 'a' anything.
a very certain distinctive of jws is how they refer to themselves.
"one of jehovah's witnesses".
it's one of those coded jargon thingies.
"By what authority does anyone have to change the Christ ordained role of believers from witnesses of Jesus to Jehovah Witnesses?"
The term 'witnesses' or 'witness' is different in the contexts.
When Jesus said in Acts 1:8 "you will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem, all Ju·deʹa and Sa·marʹi·a and to the most distant part of the earth" He was referring to the teaching of him and the spreading of the news, because it was new. Now Jesus isn't new so there is no good news or gospel.
However the use of the term Jehovah's Witnesses was from Isaiah 43:10 " “You are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah,“Yes, my servant whom I have chosen,"
(though it is odd that the reference is to Acts 1:8)
vs 12 "“I am the One who declared and saved and made knownWhen there was no foreign god among you. So you are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah, “and I am God."
That has to do with who God is and his worshippers and how they live. Not preaching or spreading news.

Why is this question even asked???
An angel is a messenger. Both the Hebrew and Greek words that are translated as angel means "messenger, representative".
Isn't Jesus the primary messenger or representative of Jehovah?
Isn't that why he said The Father and I are one because he represents his Father Jehovah?
It's that simple. Angels are messengers.
the september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.
his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .
no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.
Here's the thing. Back in the early 70s there was a book called Listening to the Great Teacher. But Jesus was not a great teacher.
John chapter 8 was he going around in circles with the Jews and he got no where.
He said things like The Father and I are one. If you've seen me you've seen the Father. Both of those caused people to think that Jesus is the Father.
All of his talk of weeping and gnashing of teeth.
He didn't define salvation or his identity or what the kingdom is.
He said people need to eat of his flesh and drink his blood. Then at the Last Supper he said this is my body.
It's like he didn't think about how people would take things.
And his statement about This Generation. It's crazy that people focus on what he said.
jehovah witnesses are hypocrites and false prophets who are conning themselves.
jehovah’s witnesses, a christian denomination/cult known for their distinct beliefs and practices, have long faced scrutiny and criticism.
while they present themselves as a cohesive and morally stringent group, numerous inconsistencies and instances of hypocrisy have been noted both by outsiders and former members.
Those points listed are ridiculous, particularly the ones about Charles Russell.
Russell is dead and his teachings went with him.
And with everything else, if you don't like it, don't do it.

today is the first time i was made aware of this actual elder body video.
it's training for how a co should handle elder's whose children decide to pursue further education.
If one goes to university or into the hospital and what one does for work is no one's business. People need to not tell others in the congregation.
