Oh please. What the Governing body says at the annual meeting does not change God's plan.

There are 144,000 corulers with Jesus, the bride of Christ. period. That can not be changed.

It is in Ex 19:6 and 1 Peter 2:9 and in Rev 5:10; 20:6 and detailed in chapt 7 & 14.

It is not a 2 class 2 tier system.

While there may be 25,000 partaking, it means nothing. The partaking ended 30 years ago but people kept doing it and more joined in because they want to think that they are anointed.

But we know that after Jesus became king in 1914 and cleansed the heavens, the dead in Christ were raised first then after that, those who are living, and then die would instantly be raised. That's elementary and explained by Paul in 1 Thess 4 and 1 Cor 15 So why is this question even asked?

Is Watchtower totally off base on Armageddon?

to me it is quite evident that the gt spoken about in matthew 24, mark 13 and luke 21 is a one time, non-repeatable localized event resulting in the destruction of jerusalem and the temple followed by the dispersion of surviving jews throughout the nations.. however, what is not so clear to most is that the gt of revelation deals with the same event.

my understanding is that the gb of jehovah witnesses has no clue as to how to interpret the apocalyptic messages found both in the synoptics and revelation.

but steve greg has armageddon down pat.

There is no second coming of Jesus. Why would there be? There is no reason for it.

Sure he said to his apostles that he will return, but think about it. What good is telling them that he will return 2000 years later when they are not here? That's the problem, people don't think. They just see words and grab them. Jesus is returning or coming back and they adhere to that.
But that's not how it works.

John 14:2 "for I am going my way to prepare a place for you. Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you home to myself, so that where I am you also may be."

Jesus said to the apostles that he will come again, but after he is killed, raised as a spirit and ascended and sat at his father's right hand. Then at some point he prepares a place for them., That was when he cast Satan and the demons from heaven. Then that allows for the resurrection to start.

So Jesus comes again (to them, the ones to whom he was speaking) by resurrecting them to him.

And Blahi, Where does it say "that every eye would see him"?

Oh, the same place where it says "those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him." Didn't those who pierced him die 2000 years ago? So this can not be taken literally. So why are you taking "Every eye will see him" literally?

Come on people. Be consistent here.

Then anointed will not be taken to heaven. They have to die and be resurrected as a spirit being.

No one goes to heaven or is taken to heaven. Death is required.

Why are you looking to youtube ( a bearded man with long hair) for information on prophesies in Revelation.

Do we really know that there will be a Great Tribulation? Jesus mentioned it but just because Jesus said it doesn't mean that it will be that way, afterall he said this generation... He also spoke of a Faithful and Discreet slave.

Revelation 7 speaks of a great crowd of people coming out of a great tribulation but the word 'tribulation' is so vague as to what it means we don't know what it is.

And we end up knowing more than they do because they are focused on made up words.

The ENGLISH text says "The Word was God". You also mentioned the divine Logos and Word's divinity. That's different from "The Word was God", that is renaming Jesus as the God of old, not relating qualities within him as being a spriit being.

This is why it is wrong.

I've been reading into Conybeare and his writings and he believes the scripture is spurious.

They take something like John 8:58 Jesus said "Before Abraham was, I am" and they take Ex 3:14 where Jehovah said "I am that I am" and think that Jesus was quoting that and applying that to himself which was outside of the context of the conversation. (He was talking about age, not identity and with Abraham which was earlier than Moses)

Now, who was the first person to make that connection? I've been asking people and no one knows. The apostles never made that connection. So who made it? Not joe blow reading the Bible. Some pastor supporting the trinity.

In the past 10 days did Peter forget about the name of Father and Holy spirit? Or did Jesus say to baptize in his name only? as Luke 24:45-47 shows "Then he opened up their minds fully to grasp the meaning of the Scriptures, and he said to them, “This is what is written: that the Christ would suffer and rise from among the dead on the third day, and on the basis of his name, repentance for forgiveness of sins would be preached in all the nations—starting out from Jerusalem."
