I went through the exact same thought process you are going through. I'm still searching for answers. As long as you are alive you'll be searching for answers. The thing is.... there are many answers that we won't have in our lifetime. Is there life on other planets? Can we duplicate the human mind? Why do kids refuse to listen to good advice? I'm sure you will find many more.
Basically Flower, you have just been born. You have just begun to think for yourself. You have just fallen out of the nest. It's a little scary right now. Now you have to realize that you are going to have to do it on your own. Of course, it helps to bounce your questions and ideas off other people but the decision is yours. Just as the consequences are yours.
When it comes to morals/ethics, again you have to decide for yourself what is right and wrong. You may find that your morals/ethics come very close to some religions. That doesn't mean that you have to join that religion. It just means that your thoughts are similar to the founder of that religion. Whether it was an individual or a society.
Same is true when it comes to the purpose of life. You have to set your own personal goals. You have to decide your own purpose. That doesn't mean you should go through life with no purpose. Decide....Adjust.....but live life with purpose. Even if that purpose is to have fun.
You can get some ideas from literature, philosophy and religion but I feel like the best ideas come from discussions with normal people like you and me. Keep asking questions even when you think you know the answers.

years ago, i had a pet-hate bible story, and it was this one story that actually started me on the path to freedom from the borg-org.. it was the story of lot when he was living in sodom and the 2 angels visited (dressed like men of course).

If the Jonah story was about Jesus goin to hell............Why didn't I read anything about Jesus? Let's see.....Jonah...Jesus...both have 2 syllables and start with a J but I don't remember Jesus going the other way, disobeying God in the other story.
Anyway why would God feel the need to tell the same story twice? Only the first time it was cryptic and gives the impression he's telling a real story. Why would God care about Ninevah anyway? He couldn't even get his own nation in line.
we went to the ice skating rink yesterday to take our daughter to a birthday party and we saw some dubs we hadn't seen in a couple of yrs.
we xena said hello the first thing r said was "i'm disfellowshipped" xena said: "so" i told her we haven't been to the kh in about 2 yrs and she says: "ya'll really should go back" now here is a woman who is currently living in sin with her df'd boyfriend.

I'm hoping that soon we can start a dialogue with them. They have a couple of children near the same age as ours. He was very involved in the KH (sign language) but was never respected. He was a black man married to a white women. We should get to talk a little before the wedding.
They didn't say anything about the party. They were just there to skate as a family. They really are nice folks. I hate to see them suffering like that.

I just feel sorry for these people who are estranged from a life that's ultimatly bad for them and they want to get back. They have to run around like puppies with their tails between their legs until someone decides they've had enough punishment.
